Serious question, what sort of a place is Boyle if you were to do a night out after something like that?
Don't live in it myself but lads who I work with normally go to Carrick on Shannon for the craic. If you're just after a 'local' pub however there are plenty of them in Boyle town.
The 2022 Reservoir Dog Sportive takes place on the 4th September. We would love to see our friends and familiar faces that have been on our challenging event before and also some new faces who have yet to experience The Reservoir Dog Sportive in person.

Thank you Seth. I know you are being a bit tongue in cheek but yes, Sportives are getting pricier. We made a conscious decision to freeze our prices this year given the inflationary pressures everyone is facing. We will take a wee hit given that our costs are rising but we are determined to offer the best value and quality we can to riders.
I wasn't referring to the cost of Sportives - my comment was more that I spend too much money on cycling related stuff
Also, last year's Reservoir Dogs was probably my favourite event of the year and the burger at the end was brilliant!

I have one ticket for sale for Ring of Beara 40 Euro : Start and finish in Kenmare 8.30 am May 28 .
Participants will have a choice of an exciting 140km or 110km cycle, by the rugged Wild Atlantic Way coastal route on the Beara Peninsula.
2022 Wicklow Mountains Cycle Challenge cancelled. Shame, I was looking forward to this.

Please note that the 2022 Wicklow Mountains Cycle Challenge scheduled for Saturday, 14th of May has been postponed due to circumstances beyond our control.
All registered participants have been sent an email and a new date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed with all parties.
I was going to do the Wicklow Mountains Cycle Challenge myself but missed the cut-off date for online registration, which was 2nd May. So I rode the course on Sunday to see what it's like. Plenty of climbing and some rough roads down near Donard. A nice course overall. 3-days beforehand is leaving things pretty late to cancel.
This might suit anyone that was planning to do the tour de burren (which was cancelled) on 18th June, 90km or 160km

I did the cycle yesterday as I planned and so did several other riders that I met along the way. I parked in the Avon where the Cycle of the lakes was starting with Ronald McDonald house. I didnt see a single ambulance in attendance for that.
I enjoyed the route, coffee in laragh, lunch in glenmalure lodge. Lots of slow long drags and fast downhills.
Lots of cyclists which was great and the weather was awesome. Looking forward to Migrane Ireland 100k and Reservoir Dog 120k now. Connenamara first in 2 weeks.
I did the Ashbourne Wheelers Sportive today and it was very enjoyable. 87km and approx. 820m ascent. No long climbs but plenty of drags and a few sharper kicks along the way. Max gradient on the course was about 8% I think. There were lots of junctions on the route but all were marshalled and they kept us moving along very well. There were a few poorly surfaced stretches of road but they were relatively short and the course overall was in very good condition and wound its way through lots of very pleasant scenery. The food stop was about 36km in at Glen Emmetts GAA Club in Tullyallen. I managed to hang on to the group at the front until the food stop. The average speed up to that point was about 34.5 km/h. I did the last approx 30km solo and my overall moving average ended up at 32.7km/h. Bumped into Boardsie smcclaw along the way, pleased to meet you! This was the inaugural Ashbourne Wheelers Sportive and they did an excellent job. I would recommend it and hope to be back next year.

I have a ticket for sale for the Ring of Beara - Saturday 28th May at 08:00, Kenmare start/finish - 60 euro.
no word on the Great Dublin Bike Ride this year, it's on the cycling Ireland calander, but nothing on the website.
While, it was far from perfect, one of the few I could cycle to and home from. I think the route needed work, but it's a pity all the same, especially considering there was talk of a Great Belfast Bike Ride a few years ago
