Clerical Officer in the Civil Service 2022 | Civil Service - publicjobs.ie
Is there going to be another competition for full time clerical officers this year?
I recently did Garda vetting and it took 4 and a half weeks but that included Easter and May bank holidays
I am finding this rather confusing ! so successfully passed stage 2 interview whats the next few stages and what way do you calculate the OOM! I am on Co Dublin panel......
I did my Garda vetting last week, heard back yesterday that it's cleared. It took 5 days in total. I'm just waiting now to be assigned.
They will contact you when they come to your oom and ask you to complete forms such as proof of address, copy of ID, asking for your references email addresses and also a form to give the go ahead to submit to Garda vetting.
Once you send them back they will send you a link to submit your Garda vetting and ask you if it's ok to contact your referees.
Once Garda vetting and references come back ok, they will assign you to a department.
You keep the same oom that you were given when you completed your online assessment initially
Right ok! So I had interview Thursday passed Friday so I won’t hear for a few weeks at least !!! That’s ok
I’m not leaving I’m really enjoying it, I just missed that part in the offer I can’t seem to locate it
Ah that's good thanks for letting me know.
Going to be making a big decision myself leaving a job I'm in for a long time with big paycut hence the questions 👍
Great thanks guys ! 3 references ?? I have had 2 long employments over 20 years hard pressed to get 3 ?
@reginaphalange2022 yeah I was surprised too best of look to you also :)
I was the same, only had 2 long employments in the past 15 years and then 2 short ones in my teens. For the 2 short ones I just put down 'manager no longer works there' and they accepted this
i only had one reference! They didn’t look for a specific amount but they wanted a reference for anywhere I worked within the last 3 years
It's usually a months notice once you're a permanent CO if you're leaving the service. Moving on mobility or promotion is more flexible-though usually around a month or so is desirable so your current dept can look for a replacement.
Glad your enjoying where you are.
Hi can I ask what oom are you & how long ago did you interview?
I don't think I've ever heard of 2 campaigns in the same year.
References within 3 years will be a problem for me, mine go back 8 years, was self employed since. Anyone know how that will go!?
Anyone know what OOM for Longford . I am in low 90s and have passed interview. ??
Hi! I got word last week I was assigned a position in DSP in Longford too. I haven’t been contacted with a start date or contract yet, hoping to hear soon! I was OOM 27 if that’s any help to anyone.
my partner just got an interview for Galway next week, OOM in the 50s
Does anyone know what OOM is being interviewed for Dublin?
God this is like being in the lottery and the drum is permanently spinning. I am under 20 OOM in Monaghan. Passed interview about 3 weeks ago. Got the location selection page and completed it. Now waiting and checking email all the time. Everything has gone quiet sadly 😥 am a wreck.
It's the first time I have ever entered one of these competitions and whether I get a position or not this process has been fun. I am really enjoying reading everyone's comments they are very informative.
I got in the top 5 OOM for the most recent TCO competition so have still hope but no word yet. Best of luck everyone.
Excellent news! When was your interview?
Anyone have any updates on Tipp or Limerick? They seem to be moving so slowly.
Crazy seeing as I know a good few positions in. Both regions that were left almost two years ago still haven't been filled.
As of today they are at 20 for Tipp, don't know about Limerick though. Very slow moving alright 😢
@ladz no 17
Interview back in Feb
@bridnotbreege let me know when you get start date. I've due to start June 😊 might see you in there 😉
This picture might be of help to someone that’s looking for clarification in relation to the tracking explanations on the National Vetting Bureau (NVB) website!
Emailed today enquiring and they have interviewed up to 49 for limerick.
Oh god I've a long wait yet so I'm 91 lol
Very nervous myself as most of us!
has anyone heard anything from the clearance team for Dublin, panel?
many thanks
Anyone have any idea where they are on the Kilkenny panel? I've gone back to page 42 and no one seems to have mentioned Kilkennt...
