Clerical Officer in the Civil Service 2022 | Civil Service - publicjobs.ie
Great thanks guys ! 3 references ?? I have had 2 long employments over 20 years hard pressed to get 3 ?
Ah that's good thanks for letting me know.
Going to be making a big decision myself leaving a job I'm in for a long time with big paycut hence the questions 👍
I’m not leaving I’m really enjoying it, I just missed that part in the offer I can’t seem to locate it
Right ok! So I had interview Thursday passed Friday so I won’t hear for a few weeks at least !!! That’s ok
I did my Garda vetting last week, heard back yesterday that it's cleared. It took 5 days in total. I'm just waiting now to be assigned.
They will contact you when they come to your oom and ask you to complete forms such as proof of address, copy of ID, asking for your references email addresses and also a form to give the go ahead to submit to Garda vetting.
Once you send them back they will send you a link to submit your Garda vetting and ask you if it's ok to contact your referees.
Once Garda vetting and references come back ok, they will assign you to a department.
You keep the same oom that you were given when you completed your online assessment initially
I am finding this rather confusing ! so successfully passed stage 2 interview whats the next few stages and what way do you calculate the OOM! I am on Co Dublin panel......
I recently did Garda vetting and it took 4 and a half weeks but that included Easter and May bank holidays
Is there going to be another competition for full time clerical officers this year?
hi guys
does anyone have a idea of the Garda Vetting timelines?
I checked my application process on NVB and it is “Application submitted to NVB for processing”. Does anyone know how much longer it takes after this for to to be complete and then to be assigned a job?
Anyone else starting in DSP Longford soon? Got my start date but I asked if I could push it back a week. Didn't seem to be a problem. Waiting on contract and further details to be emailed.
Oh wow that's quick. Hopefully they keep going at that rate! Thank you so much for your help :)
Thank you so much!! That's great, I can't believe they're that far. Best of luck with it! :)
They were in the 560's for entering clearance at end of April. I see they are now in the 760's this week so they have moved through over 200 oom's in 1.5wks. If they keep up at that rate I'd say you should hear in in the next 2wks. I've just completed clearance/vetting and that only took 5 days so they seem to be flying through them
When you have an idea of the office, you can work out the kind of work they may do then.
No just the department to date. Am waiting for a phone call from them for further info!
Any idea what section/office you are assigned to? Different offices do different work, it s so broad I couldn't even give an overview as it's so different; you've Customs to VAT to PAYE to Employer Compliance......
Hi - I got my assignment today I'm being placed in Revenue. Does anyone know what work this might entail? It was the one place I didnt want to be placed as my numeracy ability is quite low. Hopefully wont be too much of that involved!

Hi all, I received notification that I've been successful in my interview about 4 weeks ago now. I'm just wondering does anybody know when I may be called for clearance for the Dublin panel? I am OOM 949. Does anybody know what stage they're at now? I'd love to have an idea of how long I'll be waiting. I'm too excited!
I'm sorry it didn't work out do you mind me asking why.
Hi all, just hoping someone knows what OOM are they at for Kerry? I really don’t think I can email them again asking or they’ll blacklist me I’m sure lol :) Thanks
Hi guys, I’m new here just checked in for Dublin panel they said they’re OOM 761 I am OOM 866 so should be contact soon for clearance would anyone be able to shed light 1. Would anybody know what number Louth is currently at?
what is the notice period for a CO does anyone know? I’m not looking to leave already lol I’m just curious as I can’t locate it on the contract
Is this for Co Mayo?
Very normal. The HR department from wherever you've been assigned will contact you.
Vetting done and references have been contacted... yet I have not been told where I'm going. Is this normal?
Anyone from Dublin have any luck today? From the clearance team?
Excellent well done!
