A thread to keep each other up to date about where we all are in the process
I recently took out a loan as I am building a house, wasn't overly big but would that affect me? I have never been in debt or missed payments etc.. Always have handled my finances well.
I think its hard to determine merit position at this point.
600 people could have gotten 60% for all we know 🤷♂️
Looking forward to finding out!
For the vetting if your finances are in a good healthy way (no loans, payed off credit card, healthy bank balance) but ya do a bit of promotional betting is this frowned upon?
Happily able to cancel all betting accounts if needs be as my career is far more important than a hobby
go to the stats bit at the bottom
Bollocks,
Having passed vetting with considerable overdraft usage it doesn't matter
Vetting looks at your susceptibility to be coerced and blackmailed. Along side making sure you're not a terrorist/criminal.
Unless you're in eye watering spiralling out of control debt you'll have no issues.
They understand that you are a person. People bet, have over drafts, use credit cards.
Only financial circumstance that would absolutely fail you is if you have ever been or currently are bankrupt.
Appreciate you clearing that up 🤞🏼 here's to getting through it
Hello everyone! Glad to say I passed and can’t wait for the merit list to be issued.
I think we have a long wait ahead
I think with the current climate of funding, there won’t be any new campaigns anytime soon. The merit list will more than likely be exhausted first.
I agree rouge_one
i think as long as you pass the next stages, you’ll get into GV, at some point.
Ultimately, if you pass vetting and PCA. you’re in a the end of the day
Nope, doesnt matter. It is good you try to refrain as much as possible though in my opinion, as it will aid in speeding up your vetting process. Blackmail is taken very seriously - so the easier and more compentant your financial history is, the faster you'll clear that hurdle of checks.
Agreed. You deserve a pat on the back regardless of the grade, the passmark this year was high!
The pass mark was lower this year bud which is likely due to reduced numbers, last time the pass mark was just over 60%, cant remember exact % but I scored 60%, failed by 1 mark. I personally thought the role plays where trickier this year, one was fine but the other 2, I really didn't get too far with them and found them trickier than the year before. Could just be me though, I didnt do any prep this year and just showed up.
Without going into specifics about the role play, one of mine definitely felt like you could not get anywhere with them, was unfortunate to see there was 15 available marks with it
Dam, didn't know that. Last time I applied was the 2018 campaign and the passmark was 49% (failed by 2 marks so I feel your pain). Fair play for getting through without prep. I prepped this time around as my first attempt I completely winged it.
I think i know exactly which one you mean. I was exactly the same. Felt like I couldn't get anywhere with it.
Yeah I did the first one thinking I had this in the bag then left the second one thinking I'd failed lol.
Think the thing that saved my grade was just trying to hit any point grabbers wherever I could but I ended that interview with about 30 seconds to spare because I was going round in circles.
I think I know which one aswell lol they were extremely difficult. The prep led me to think it would go one way and then in there said person through a spanner in the works straight away and just kept referring back to that spanner 🤣🤣 was terrible lol
Completely agree with the tricky role plays this year. I somehow got an A and I felt like I didn't really get anywhere with the role plays.
Just wondering but is 46:53 a decent time for a 10k? Just out of the gym there and feel like it’s piss poor timing
The pass mark last year was 61.25. I just missed out.
Knew I didn't do so well on one roleplay this year but did quite well in the other 2. The one I did best in I finished early.
I seem to get my points up in the written exercises and was pleased with overall score.
Hope the next stages go ok. Prob be a long wait for us tho lads before all is completed.
I compared my marks this year vs. the previous attempt at the AC.
Last year I did really well on the RP but bombed my report writing and prep work which lead me to a fail.
This year I did the opposite, RP scores were low (genuinely thought I did well) and my report writing and prep work shot me up over the pass mark.
Not too sure what to take from it.
Imagine next stages will be pretty slow to happen for most of us other than vetting maybe. Top grade guys will probably start progressing alot sooner as they need to be in a position to offer places once funding is sorted. There's really not that many left from 2020 campaign and they'll be used up quickly once things get sorted. It's really all speculation at this stage. Things could move faster than we think.
Anyone still riding the buzz of passing the AC? 😅 I'm still in shock I think
No mate; I’m wanting more now🤣 like nice you gave me my pass and breakdown but not enough haha! NEXT item pleaseeeee
Been smiling all week lad! 😁😁
See getting each result every few days is torture 😂 roll on these next few days for the ML.
Lol it is and the next stage is going to be alot more torture 🤣 at least once ML is issued, you can keep track on here with the next stages and what numbers they are bringing through etc
Just wondering is the merit list based on your IST and your AC or just your AC score?
