I recently took out a loan as I am building a house, wasn't overly big but would that affect me? I have never been in debt or missed payments etc.. Always have handled my finances well.
I got 62.5% in my Assessment Centre. I’m glad I passed. On the basis of my A/C am I likely to get to Garnerville if I pass the remaining stages?
Have a loan at the moment but it's from a few years ago (always paid on time and nearly finished with) so here's hoping it doesn't cause many headaches.

Nope, shouldn’t be an issue. Stay out of your overdraft and don’t take out any loans (unless you really need to). As long as you can show competence with your finance handling as I know first hand that’s a big one.
With regard to finances, I was in my overdraft for a while during and uni and never got round to sorting it until the past few months (laziness and it felt like free money), if they can see I've worked my way out of it will this not be a major issue?

This is accurate. My vetting took over a year but someone in my intake was waiting less than 6 months.
The biggest reason for this tends to be because of vetting.
Yeah I’ve heard of this. People from past campaigns being “leap frogged” by people from more recent campaigns.
I’ve known someone who was 500+ on the merit list in the 2018 campaign and made it through Gville. By the looks of the last 2 campaigns they have exhausted the merit list many people won’t pass vetting or the medical they also have to take into account the amount of people who won’t make it though Gville through injuries or other circumstances. Being on the Merit list no matter where you are is a very good sign, just follow all the PSNI managed steps and you will that get offer for appointment however long you may wait.
I have heard that not everyone on the ML gets through to GV almost half of the People on the ML don’t get taken forward.

It’ll most likely be based by what you scored your points on, and overall how many competencies you hit. That’s how the interviews are assessed.

Does the email actually state that we will get merit list on the 13th by reading it sounds as if we only get the outcome results of the right to work evidence?

Depends how you score. Better the ML the sooner you start progressing
7696 applicants to be exact. Meaning only 13.68% got to merit list.
621 of them appointed so far. Meaning just 8.01% of applicants got in.
Going by the Information from No tomatoes.
1600 will attend AC & 800 will be placed on merit list. Out of the 800, 400 are appointed.
1810 had about 7000 applicants and a ML of just over 1000...
If you've passed you've done well
Start running. Press ups and sit ups. That's it. Don't need to get technical about it.

i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more than halved now due to IST, AC & withdrawals.
Your vetting runs concurrently with the other stages.
Some peoples takes weeks others months.
A fair few people sit with everything else passed and await ages for vetting to pass

There were fewer applicants this time so hopefully merit list will be smaller
Try not to give out exact details of results/dates/etc as these things can be narrowed down to you. This was advised on previous forums.. saying that it is a good score and could potentially be a merit listing from 150 and under.
You have also to take into consideration vetting times/delays to pcas and medicals/plus other circumstances so just because you are say 50 And someone is 140 doesn't necessarily mean that would be appointable before you. Just means you are higher on the priority list from what I've gathered. But again I may be wrong so don't take my word for gospel

You progress to the PSNI managed stages in merit order.
The lower the ML score the sooner you start moving along the remaining stages
I got over 70% which is an A - what does this mean? Is this good news? What does this mean for the Merit List? All very confusing….
