A thread to keep each other up to date about where we all are in the process
playing with my nerves everytime i see “PSNI” pop up in my emails I’m getting excited thinking it’s the merit list already
They said on the email that the merit list is not formed yet, which killed my hopes of it showing up later this evening
Yup got a C
Yeah seen, hopefully this week it’ll be formed when they contact us about right to work conformation.
Yep same here
The deadline for follow up right to work check was today so I’d say Merit list will definitely be Friday
Got the email through, passed at a Grade C.
Had hopes that I scored higher as I felt I had done better at the AC compared to my previous attempt.
Seems my Report Writing offered my highest mark.
Still, a pass is a pass.
Got a c aswell just missed out on a b but still hopefully the rest of the statges go smooth and it's just a waiting game for the call to go to GV
I’ve scraped the passing percentage which doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence but hopefully the rest of the stages go better.
With how much they need more staff I wouldn't put yourself down, probably just a bit of a longer wait more than anything
I got a grade c, seems my role plays didn't go the very best lol scored grade B level in all the written parts but the role plays brought it down a bit. Near enough scored the same as last time. Need to figure out what I'm missing incase I've to do it again lol
Been waiting to post until I got my results. Got a C which I’m happy enough with. Failed the 2018 intake, so was nice to pass this one after a few years. Anyone got an idea of how many applicants will be on the merit list? Rumours suggesting it will be around 800 on merit list
Where are you getting that figure from? Just out of curiosity
A no tomatoes training course i attended were estimating that. I also work as police staff, so a few internals have been suggesting figures similar to that range. Could be completely wrong though.
They always seem to have around 1052, certainly over the last 2 campaigns which you can see on join psni website. Maybe they just didn't get the numbers this year. Good news for us lol
The retirement rate is absolutely crazy! so I wouldn’t worry too much about where you are in the merit list. There is a huge amount of boots to fill!
My main issue is the PCA.
Would there be alot of people who fail the next few stages? Fitness, medical etc..
Yeah, a lot of people fail the PCA.. that’s my real concern.
Only upside to thePCA, if you fail you have 12 weeks to prep for the retest as well as getting help with it.
Will be interesting to see when the PCA tests will begin, anyone any ideas based off last drives when it approximately could be?
I wouldn’t overly worry too much about it, it does need a bit of attention depending on Fitness levels - personally a bit of HIIT training every week would be more than enough to be prepared. But it’s different for everyone I suppose.
Between the drugs test and medical, you’ll see quite a few people not get through. Vetting is usually impatience which leads to people dropping out of the process.
Surprised to hear some fail the drug test, surely you'd be applying for the wrong job if that's a concern
Believe me, you’ll be very surprised how many people apply, knowing fine rightly you need to do a drugs test, and will drop out lol
I actually remember in the 2020 recruitment someone asked at the start of the campaign. “Can I join if I sometimes smoke marijuana” there was a good few of us that was like withdraw your application.
For reference, i got in on the 1810 campaign.
They exhausted the 1710 campaign merit list
Have pretty much exausted the 1810 merit list.
So those with a C score don't worry, it'll be a bit of a wait but your foot's in the door.
Also your grade means sweet fa. It's your ML number that counts.
I respect the audacity of him to ask that unironically
just for curiosity; with regards to your AC result and Merit list. How different were they? I have the misconception of myself being on the lower end of the list due to my Ac Score
AC score was 71-73
ML score between 50-60
Just want to jump in on this, does your AC score not determine your Merit List number?
