I'm 100% in favour of the protest and the red paint. The Russian public can 'do one' basically and tough luck if they are offended - too many of them on board with the invasion and with support for Putin.

I was just surprised to hear it from journalists who you'd have thought their families might manage to be better informed on journalism type topics.
I don't have a clue about topics that my family might be experts in, but if I want to know something about such topics I'd ask them and generally trust their opinions above others I might hear. Surprised that people who have relatives working for a major international media organisation don't seem to take their input on international news items.
If you have a kid or close relative working in journalism in Kviv and instead you believe the contradictory story coming from Moscow then there are some serious problems.

Sure, and that's what is happening, but assume that you are living in Moscow, and your relatives in the EU/UK/USA etc call you and tell you exactly what's happening, what can you do??? Add to that the fear that maybe your international calls are monitored?

You don't take into account that all these talks might be listened to and recorded. People in totalitarian regimes are very careful what they say by phone. I still am 30 years later.
In person they might say different things. Yet I know brain washed people in Poland, so the huge amount might truly believe these lies.

I suggest then a visit to Kiev , Borusa , Irvin by Pat Hickey -ex IOC- and Conor Mc Gregor might have been more effective as they have been hobnobbing with Putin and could tell him , in no uncertain terms what they saw and who was responsible. Every little bit helps.

I'd argue the opposite. They were probably afraid or got intelligence to say that the air force may not be fully trustworthy. Not alot to stop a jet dropping a missile on Putin and the entire parade viewing stand.
I'd say they grounded the planes to ensure that risk was lowered.

For me it is also weird that protesters were allowed so close to him. They for sure could have expected problems with 3 mln Ukrainian refugees in Poland.
