"The Crimean bridge for the Armed Forces is an achievable and absolutely legal goal - a military expert
According to Defense Express analysts, information about the possibility of HIMARS or M270 in Ukraine has already caused some panic among racist Crimean people who moved to the occupied peninsula after 2014. The reason is that these launchers have in their arsenal long-range ballistic missile ATACMS with a range of up to 300 km. And if Ukraine really gets these HIMARS or M270, the Crimean bridge is one of the probable goals, experts say.
First, the destruction of the Crimean bridge is of great importance in terms of disrupting the logistics of the entire southern enemy group.
Secondly, the destruction of the Crimean bridge is likely to exclude the possibility of a landing operation by Russia's Black Sea Fleet, even in theory.
Third, a successful strike on the bridge will divert significant Russian forces and resources to restore this strategically important crossing."
Make it so.

As regards the the far right Azov group of fighters in Ukraine and there terrible record. If you don’t believe that then your not living in the real world”
Very hard to defeat any army who believe that dying while fighting invaders, especially non-believing invaders, grants them immediate paradise. Well in this case, personally I believe in a Ukrainian victory, and it's just a question of time, and hopefully in the near future.
Right 🤔 I’m not Russian, I’ve never been to Russia and I don’t intend to go there and I certainly don’t support Putin and his regime. If the whole right wing thing about the Azov group is wrong and the entire western media have got it wrong about them and there really were are a great bunch of lads and when Russia is beaten back the group will give up control over area fine but I don’t think they will and you know that too.
Why are you directing this at me are you under the impression that I some sort of pro Russian stooge.
NB reread the last sentence in my original post.
I was wondering when that dose would turn up 🙄
If Ukraine has a nazi problem that's their business no need to invade. All this nazi business is just to motivate the Russians to beat the 'nazis' again just like they did in WW2. It's largely propaganda.
You’re making the poster out to be a Russian sympathiser with your reply there, perhaps reread the last paragraph of the original post.
I'm certainly not an apologist for Russia's bullying and violence. And yes Russia threw the first punch.
But lauding Azov should be a step too far for any decent human being. (Ditto lauding the Russian aggression.)
By the same token, war brings every rat out of its hole... and.. under cover of being on the right side of a conflict.. they get to drool over violence and cheer for neo-nazis. The talk on here is like the drunken waffle that belongs at 3 am outside some dingy British legion; it's about as un-Irish as it's possible to be.
The best I can say is, in line with someone earlier on the thread.. in some 'perfect' scenario of virtuous violence Azov and the Chechens would wipe each other out.
I agree. The word 'Nazi' must be emotive for Russians to a degree even higher than usual elsewhere, probably much the same way as 'Communist' makes a certain class of American become hysterical.
Anyway, the allegation seemed to be that these Nazis were present at all levels of Ukrainian society, and even Zelenskyy was supposed to be one. We all saw Lavrov double down on that in the last week, making a statement so ill-informed and outrageous that Putin had to apologise to Israel about it. If Putin's struggling with the pretence, you know it's bad.
Their leader, Dmitry Utkin, is alleged to have Nazi symbols tattooed on his body.
If Putin hates Nazis so much, why's he hiring this guy? Shouldn't he be in jail or something?
Doc Brown on heroin.
That's the style of the thread... it's Putin-esque (just switch 'Putin bot' for 'Nazi' since they find 'themmuns' everywhere). No deviation from the narrative allowed unless you post at great length about how much you accept the narrative first is just one example of the contortions required.
And this from people bleating about freedom of expression and democracy.. the absurdity of it would make a cat laugh. (Unless the cat had read Voltaire: “Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”)
In fairness it's a hardcore few posters doing this, not all posters, and they are probably just sad, angry old men venting their animus for life itself, but they have turned this thread into a monochrome echo chamber, a kangaroo court, and a ghoulish celebration of violence.
I don't mean to. My point is the Russians should stay out of it but that does not mean it is acceptable.
Azov = filth. Wagner Group = filth.
It's not difficult.
Azov vs. Chechens, yes I was thinking alone those lines myself, but all Azov are not bad and neither are all Chechens on the Russian side. But I agree with the substance of your post. 'My enemy's enemy is my friend'.
???? You mean this sentence ? Quote:- "Didn’t work out in Afghanistan for any invading force. Like the Afghan war Russia had the clock but the Afghanis had the time as do the Ukrainians." UnQuote.
Nope!!! Actually I was agreeing with you about Afghanistan. Its not known as the grace yard of empires for nothing.
Okay. You just wrote that the Chechens and Azov battalion should wipe each other out in "virtuous violence", yet appear to be lecturing about a celebration of violence.
What "narrative" are you referring to?
Do you know that is the case or are you just guessing it is the case?
..
"Putin is bad but several hundred men giving their lives for democracy, 100km behind enemy lines, after helping save, shelter and evacuate thousands of civilians are the absolute devil"
It is just more classic whataboutery from the pro Russian totalitarian brigade.

The Azov fighters are heroes ... still defending Mariupol where other units would have given up... bunch of badasses
That Crimea bridge is such a tempting target.
Was it ever a target for Ukraine, I wonder? Not that there aren't ways around a blown up bridge, but it would have made it that much more difficult for Russia to pincer somewhere like Mariupol.
Claimed - read the claimed reports too .
