To lose one may be regarded as a misfortune, to lose two looks like carelessness.
i dont care what anyone says, the above is indictable to as high as the war crimes court in Den Haag
I'm fairly sure it wouldn't.
Quite a few people who were in or at the Mariupol theatre escaped to the west after the bombing (I saw one of them interviewed on the BBC). There's absolutely no way the Russians will be able to cover up anything that happened - there are numerous witness testimonies.
The days when what is today the EU was just to use your words" a trading block" have long since passed. Defense and security are very much part of the obligations and duties of the member states and it is well beyond high time we stopped behaving so selfishly and pulled our weight in terms of the security and defense of the EU as a whole instead of being the freeloaders that we are in that regard just because a direct conventional attack on Ireland is currently unlikely.
Wow
There being withdrawn to prepare for the big parade in Moscow ,😂😂😂
I doubt it... you heading to it?
If they did, it wouldn't be half a thread they would be getting rid of.
Saturday the 19th of March. Was it ever established what the actual cause was?
unconfirmed confirmation
an old teacher of mine did his thesis on Operation Green...
The only reason it didn't go ahead is because they needed air superiority to transit an invasion force to Ireland, which they didn't have....
It was going to be used as a pincer movement to take the UK and was almost at a "ready to go" stage numerous times...
There were also variations of it discussed when air superiority wasn't achievable
There's a wikipedia article on some of the various plans, I think there were 10 or more in total over a span of 4 or 5 years
Pardon the ignorance, whats happening here, Russian forces trying to clear rubble, debris and bodies to hide their atrocities?
..
Think I read before (on here?) that Ukraine claim they are planning some kind of a propaganda show in Mariupol for the weekend. e.g.
Though they wrecked it so badly it you'd think it would be hard to hide their liberation army "destroyed the village to save it (from something?)" as it were and the place won't recover from what they have done for quite some time if ever.
When kremlin denies it,its true
Most likely, and straight into the mobile crematorium
The US has said they have had no indications this happened; even though they've been looking all day.
Also some issues with the video:
Hopefully we get better confirmation soon.
It arguably wasn't even merely a trading bloc in the 1960s. There was already much talk of future political union and that trade would only be one feature. A radio interview was discovered a year or two ago with Sean Lemass where he spoke of the future political union of the EEC and he died in 1971.
The idea of it merely being a trading bloc is mostly a myth created by current Brexiteers.
Just to continue to Moscow before the 9th
Interesting - it looks like the Ukrainian counter-offensive is well underway, it's just that people haven't fully noticed yet (that's in response to the post about the current situation around Kharkiv).
People in the Twitter replies already forensically analysing the shape of the radar array on the ship to see if it conforms with the class of ship etc. etc. Impossible to go on a grainy video like that. It'd be great if it was sunk, but if it was, more concrete news will eventually emerge.
The head of Ukraine's Armed Forces announced a few days ago that they were counter-attacking in Kharkiv; they've also released a bunch of footage retaking towns to the north.
Also more evidence coming out today that Russian forces might be retreating more widely from around Kharkiv; including photos of booby traps similar to those found in Kyiv and abandoned positions etc.
I'd think more like they're just shutting the **** up and getting on with it. I doubt they want real time, highly detailed maps floating around for everyone to see now that they're the ones on the move. The last few weeks (maybe month) has seen a change in coverage and what's being released. Weapons will be announced, no announcement of delivery, video will be released of a weapon in the field and they'll be clear it was from a few days earlier.
I think a lot of people (myself very much included) are being a bit guarded in terms of getting hopes up.
Let them go ahead. Hope a few TB2's turn up to have a look.
Lots of chatter about UA forces finally taking out that land bridge in Crimea on May 9th. Wonder if they'll do it or it's a diversion for something else.
It's probably clever to reveal little about what is actually going on. We all know that the Russians are propagandists who shout things from the rooftops, but the Ukrainians don't really need to reveal too much about what they are doing at the moment.
First evidence of Switchblade drones being used in Ukraine:
There's also a video that purports to be of a Switchblade but it's not 100% clear; and it also looks a bit like a miss if it is supposed to be a Switchblade:
I don't see how they can attack it; they have nothing which can really reach that far. Nor do they really have anything powerful enough; it's a pretty beefy bridge by all accounts.
I suppose they could pack a vehicle or train car with explosives but that seems unlikely somehow; especially after announcing that they're going to attack it...
Doesnt look like a switcblade drone to me in the video, more like a mortar or grenade.
Switchblades dives onto the target from above 160 km/h i thought you would have seen that atleast in the video
