Not to try to muddy the figures here as they are terrible but just wondering how Levas x2 ycs into a RC gets totted up in this scenario
You mean, is there double counting? No idea. But I can't recall reds other than for Leva and Tom Daly.
Sad to see Matt Healy retiring. What a servant to Connacht, and what a try-scoring record 🙌
A fantastic player! Great pace and attacking ability. He's one I wish Leinster had in the team.
The 2nd try in this video against Scarlets if one of my faves from him.

A Connacht legend. I remember more than once sitting in the main stand, the ball going out to Healy on the far wing, then a confusing flurry I couldn't quite make out, resulting in Healy touching down.
One that stands out to me was when he played fullback in Grenoble & was absolutely on fire. A great servant to Connacht.

Any indication of how Darragh Murray is doing? He missed the whole of the U20s Six Nations last year due to an injury, haven't heard anything since.
Was involved for Buccaneers in their Division 2a final last week
Hard to know, given the lack of A games this season. Must be doing something right, to get a senior contract before playing a first team game. Seems to have played a decent bit of AIL, perhaps if there's any Buccs heads on here they might be able to give more insight.
As an aside, it's a bit disappointing that the six homegrown players picked for Ireland u20s last year have only played 90 minutes between them this season.
That's great news, thanks. After reading your post, I realised that he was among the players listed by realhorrorshow as having played in the 2A final. Looking forward to seeing how he develops next season, have been very impressed by Niall over the last few years so hoping for great things.
Booth and Illo were very impressive for them apparently over the last few games
Strongly agree with you on that. In fairness Murray was injured until very recently, and isn't Jennings away with the 7s? I recall Forde getting a couple of games, and McCormack maybe one in pre-season. Booth and Tierney-Martin are from the previous U20 team, right?
I think this inability to blood the youth is related to the broader problems with the team this season. Selectors won't feel free to pick new names if the team is getting trounced regularly and looks like a rabble. But by doing this they're slowing development and shortchanging our future.
Any word of the Connacht Academy yet?
Presume Matthew Devine is in, and read on another thread that Shane Mallon is moving there too. Any word on the other players coming in?
Sounds like Connacht are losing 2 more front rowers
Who?
I’d assume McCoy and Murphy
Didn't Friend say everyone on the South Africa tour was contracted for next season bar Tiernan O'Halloran?
Edit: Found the article https://www.independent.ie/sport/rugby/andy-friend-were-investing-in-the-people-who-are-going-to-be-here-next-year-41568481.html
Can't find the relevant section of the podcast. I would guess DRMcCoy is one, Tuimauga was already known, but maybe he's the second one being referred to?
Or it's Duggan or McGrath if both Wright and Swift come
Roydon Swift has just left school, if we do sign him he will join the academy and not be seen in the first team for some time. Keynan Knox had been with Munster for almost two years before he made his first team debut, for reference.
Finn Wright has played absolutely no top level rugby, I know McGrath and Duggan have had their struggles in the scrum but there is absolutely no chance either would be ousted by a guy who has been playing AIL 2B for the past season.
McGrath and Murphy they said. Unsure about TOH as well.
Swift looks a very big fella. He is currently playing in France it seems?
One of the posters from the bulls forum "I see two PMB College front rankers Corbin Thunder and Roydon Swift have been contracted straight out of school to go to Bristol and Connacht respectively. They're soutpiele so there's a good chance they have eligibility somehow. I watched them play as u16s against my nephew's Kearsney team. They're both beasts."
If McGrath leaves that would contradict Friend's statement that all participants (ex TOH) in the SA tour are contracted for next season. And given Tuimauga's departure, surely McGrath stays.
There's no way it's Duggan.
DRMC's contract is up, he has played hardly any rugby this season and was not brought to SA - suggests to me that he is gone.
Murphy signed a deal last year, would have thought for two years, in which case he's there next season, after which he'll be let go as Dylan Tierney Martin should have progressed sufficiently (arguably he's already made the grade).
Where did you see that he's in France? If so, his deal here must have fallen through, don't think a French team would take him unless it's a long term deal and he will become JIFF qualified.
Fringe players like Murphy often only get one year deals - he signed a one year deal in 2020 also. DTM only got a one year deal this season also.
Doesn't state what club he is with
One year extension for TOH

Oh joy.
Hopefully he learns how to pass the ball this summer. Could be a okish player if he does
