Hi, I'm new to this tread. I am considering sitting 5 fe1s in Oct and I'm looking for advice. Is city colleges worth doing?? Any advice regarding fe1s would be greatly appreciated. ☺️
Hi! I sat 4 in March and did city colleges. I’d highly recommend them :)
Does anyone have a recent exam grid I could look at please.

Hi Guys
I want to download Irish caselaw. I'm not sure what sites are the best. Does anyone have any advice?
thanks
I'd say courts.ie would have some.
Irish Law | The Largest Collection of Irish Law, Irish Reports and Digests (vlex.com)
I know that one barrister was using this one. I think it's good but you have to pay
I also recommend them!!
I created a YouTube Channel. Perhaps you will find it helpful.
I also created Facebook discussion and support group called Legally Inspired.
Anyone have the constitutional paper from March they could send me?
Hi
So I posted recently to say I was planning to complete the fe1s. I have done some research on securing a training contract and the question that keeps coming to me is from myself is one of my age. I'm currently 37 already in an established career. Am I too old for go down this road of becoming a solicitor. Will I be viewed as to old when trying to secure a training contract. Any advice welcome
I think your age will work in your favour tbh. Now that law students can sit the FE1s whilst completing their degree, we are looking at a market over saturated with really young people with no experience. I think having that level of experience behind you will actually make you stand out and I would encourage you not to be deterred... some of the best Solicitors and Barristers in the Country at present switched careers ... The FE1s and the traineeship are just the knowledge side of things... but you need confidence and actual ability and I can't see how your age would work against you!
Any tips on how to tackle Constitutional? Bit overwhelmed and I'm told it can't be cut down the same way EU can!
Hi Guys,
would anybody have an up to date exam grid for Equity and Company please?
Anyone know if scripts are going to be uploaded early on the portal like they did in Autumn?
Is anyone selling an up to date property manual by any chance?
Does anyone know when the results are out?
Hi guys, wondering if anyone didn’t sit exams they intended on sitting and applied for refunds? I know not the most important question with results around the corner but I am wondering how long we should expect to get refunded?
Think it’s the week of May 16th or something like that

I'm quite worried about Company Law and I'm wondering if you fail, how long does it take if you go for a re-check? It's one of my last two FE-1s so I'm planning for the deadline of 1st June for the PPC and the Law Society says late applications may be accepted if you pay a fee, so I'm trying to work out if I would have enough time.
I never did a recheck so I'm not 100% sure but I remember seeing people on here still waiting on a recheck for the October sitting in like January and February this year. So I know it can take a long time. I'd be very surprised if you got it back ny 1st June. Maybe your best course of action would be to email them.
Thanks for your reply, yeah I've done some trawling the past few days and it seems that way. Does anyone know is it realistic that you could still get a place on the PPC after the recheck?
Don't suppose anybody has an update on a results date?
I have had a recheck before and it took about 6 weeks if I remember correctly.
I do remember the rechecks being late for the October sittings just gone and this causing issue for people waiting to start the hybrid. It happened to a friend of mine and she was allowed to sign up to the Hybrid but couldn't officially start until her results were confirmed and this caused her to have to wait until February.
I have 2 exams left to go, so can't really advise more specifically sorry... but results are due out next week so you never know your luck :)
If it is any consolation, I also sat Company and it was easily the worst exam paper I've sat so far!! No wonder it only had a 49% pass rate last year
Next week sometime, they said the week of the 16th!
No rush I suppose.
Not exactly Fe1 related but has anyone heard back from Pinsent Masons re training contracts?
