Brain washing starts early in Russia
There's batteries surrounding Moscow of nuclear tipped air defense systems
The problem with the 'let's ask the people who live there' approach is that Russia have a track record of creating a discriminatory structure and general atmosphere to make the indigenous population want to move out, relocating or killing the indigenous population who can't or won't move, and moving in their own citizens. Hey presto! Look, they want to be ruled by Russia!
Again not justifying anything I merely made an observation based entirely on reality.
You will miss your cruciates when there gone.
Would love to know which group is feeding the Ukrainians the whereabouts of the RuSSian Generals. Has to be phone data.
We are taking Ronaldo strike rate.
While the US tries to station its nuclear weapons far from population centers. Russia has 68 of these 10 kiloton interceptors all around Moscow, its most populous city. Unfortunately, even in the most careful settings, nuclear mishaps occur with troubling regularity.
But to supplement this game of nuclear chicken, the Army asked Bell Labs in 1955 to start looking into possibilities for an antiballistic missile system. Since then, the US very briefly deployed nuclear-tipped interceptors designed to stop incoming missiles in their tracks with a nuclear explosion.
So it does not sound good if you need to use Nuclear Explosions to stop a Nuclear Missile. And they haven't been record of success in the trials.
So ethnic cleansing is what your calling for.
Pretty sure he's saying that Russia deserves to be isolated and allowed to stew in its own filth for a while. Not quite the same thing as ethnic cleansing.
Unfortunately there are plenty of nations who still seem happy enough to do business with them; so realistically it's only going to be isolation from (most) EU and NATO countries; plus the likes of Australia and Japan.
Why be arrested and thrown in prison for holding a placard when you can make a real difference and burn down some infrastructure or a military installation.
I wonder if someone living in Russia set up a go fund me to put Putin to sleep permanently - how much support would that get?
"The U.S. Congress introduced a resolution that will allow the use of the army in Ukraine
U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger wants to allow the use of the U.S. Army in Ukraine in the event of an escalation of the war by the horde.
The resolution is intended to give the American president the authority to respond to a scenario in which the horde will use chemical, biological or nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
"Today, America has the opportunity to reiterate its support for people who seek freedom and stand firm against authoritarianism. "After talking to Secretary Blinken and hearing his grave concerns about orca's use of chemical weapons, I am confident that the United States will demonstrate to the international community that we will not tolerate senseless violence," Kinzinger said."
I can almost feel the rage in Moscow, from here. Imagine those clowns on state media, half might die on set from apoplexy.
US airforce and nato to a degree ,they can more see and hear everything the Russians are doing on the ground and in turn supplying the Ukrainans with live real time intelligence
I think so.
I believe the idea is when they detonate the emp blasts should in theory cause incoming missles to malfunction and crash likely to effect aircraft too , while showering the local population with radiation,( open to correction)
It's a desperation play
Those tactics aren’t unique to russia historically speaking.
So threats are ok then ? Just kneel down before your oppressor. Some quality insight there.
There is,for ballistic missiles,not aircraft
Its happened so many times I’m surprised that the Russians are not learning. It is not safe for groups of Senior Officers to have face to face meetings in Ukraine. Surprised they haven’t come up with an alternative.
Thats anti ballistic missile defence,i doubt they are ment for fighter jets and bombers
And if you want to look at anti ballistic defence, try ground based midcourse defence,Aegis ship based and land based Aegis,Thaad.
They are meant for anything threatening Moscow from the air.
If I remember correctly I posted about them around the time Post initial ukraine invasion 8 years ago now
Saw a cia guy on tv once. He said there's not a square centimeter on earth that can't be listened to.
No they are ment for incoming nuclear warheads in the terminal stage

What? Cruciates?
Satellite technology is going to help. And equally I suspect The US and/or UK are getting intelligence from within the Russian system
Given the uncanny accuracy of what was being disclosed by Western intelligence prior to invasion, I assumed that was a given!
Had a look at them in a video I posted here! (15-04-2022 3:05pm)
And we don't know what other classified defense's the US has.
I cannot recommend this podcast highly enough. Intercepting incoming missiles is ineffective & the US should disband their land based missiles as they can only be used for a first strike - something the US has said it would never do. Pointless for the Russians to have them either.
William J Perry discusses the threat of Nuclear war - he's a former US defense secretary
Good selection of videos here

I'd say the US is getting phone and radio signal intercepts and also satellite tracking and then passing it on to the Ukrainians. I'm no expert on this stuff but I would guess that the minute the Russians start their conference, the clock starts ticking and if they haven't said their stuff and left the location by x minutes, boom - x being an unknown variable. :-)
Sadly, moving out the previous people and moving in your own has been one of the more effective methods to hold territory throughout history. it's not so much that it's a problem of asking the people who live there, but preceding that with some ethnic cleansing is a gross perversion of it. Crimea has long been settled by a majority ethnically-Russian population who probably aren't going anywhere, and Ukraine wouldn't be able to shift them out either. But all we can hope for is that the Ukrainians can push Russia out of Kherson and so on before they've had enough of a chance to forcibly deport those cities' populations (something which is already underway).
when did I say it did?
Any weapon over 1 Megton with an airburst at 26km above target leaves a vaporised circle of about 2km wide minimum.
You can offset the angle from directly overhead and airburst it at a lower height at about 20km away from centre and you have ridiculous amount of destruction
Both scenarios are out of reach of the UK system....because it's short range
