at 25km radius....
not exactly the stand off weapon as is the excuse the Russian's use, and what Aegis is
Yep. How many decades has Russia had now to unf_uck itself? It's not interested, and indeed it seems somehow shocked that its neighbours don't want to be part of its chronic dysfunctionality, when meanwhile, in the west Russia's neighbours see political freedom and economic prosperity.
in 1957, only twelve years after suffering a total defeat, being invaded from east and west, having its major cities bombed flat and its infrastructure wrecked, Germany co-founded the EEC. In less than a decade after total defeat, major cities gutted by firestorms (and two cities nuked!), the Japanese economy was taking off. Meanwhile Russia, after shaking off communism peacefully and having suffered no major military defeat on its own soil or loss of infrastructure, after three full decades, has achieved absolutely bugger all. Apart from replacing communism with a gangsterocracy, for anyone who actually considers that an achievement...
I couldn't wait a month, how is Mariupol looking? I assume the Russians are all the way to Odessa now no?
Funnily enough, the Russians are now further from Odessa than they were after one of their flagships was smote by an ancient sea god. The Russians claimed victory in Mariupol, but in reality are still grappling with a band of ridiculously determined Ukrainian soldiers fighting out of the Azovstal area of the city. I'm sure you know both of these things anyway, but never a bad thing to point out how slow progress has been for the supposedly mighty Russian army.
Look, can we leave off with the mental fermentation over drone ethics until after we have sorted the problem of the clear violations of the Geneva conventions and the actual indisputable war crimes that have been committed? This is fruitless whataboutery at it's worst.
Hey now, they are the second best army in Ukraine!
Someone's a fan of the warthog mounted Gauss cannon from Halo.
Just a touch of humor for Sunday
Probably just an emergency humanitarian shipment of anti-depressants.
Why isn't there a Treaty put in place, and signed by all, stating that the US, Nato, EU, Ukraine and anyone else, have no intention of invading Russia. Ease the mind of those paranoid batshit crazy morons.
No treaty matters to the Raskies
the invasion of Russia rhetoric is a population control tactic.
Treaties mean nothing to Russia.
Ukraine have already offered neutrality and not to join NATO, Russia declined
You can't win with someone who is on a land grab by any means possible...
Did they do that for Ukraine
Most likely collecting expelled Belgian diplomats.
Funnily enough, yes.... Budapest 1994... as you can see, that treaty is holding up quite nicely.
edit: sorry, no it's not going so nicely
Wouldn't make a blind bit of difference ,for instance they are running a museum installation featured on the brutality of Nato in the Donbas region .
No Nato , army ,no Nato bases but somehow nato is planning to invade Russia ,the Russians themselves don't even ask for evidence of this huge nato army surrounding Russia ,
They can't produce anything or back up claims .
More like a mix girlish exciement at meeting a crush and an 82 year old foolishly weraing heels worried about face planting.
Aleksandr Dvonikov aka the "Butcher of Syria"
Appointed Russian Ground forces army General in charge of military operation in Ukraine. Served as Russia's first commander for military operations in Syria between September 2015 and June 2016, and aided the Bashar al-Assad regime to capture Aleppo with a huge number of civilian deaths and casualties
As opposed to Valeriy Gerasimo recently sent off to Ukraine by Putin
The radar has a 120km range, which is the most important bit after the speed of the interceptor.
It’s not a book use your eyes 👀 and on top of that re read the post your commenting on.
youll do a crucaite with all the knee jerking I tell ya
The Russians are clowns living off "past glory' if they ever do start struggling or get invaded I hope the world remembers what they did and leave them too there faith.
They have earned and completely deserve alienation from the rest of the world until the show significant change.
Dont even go there, piece of advice
You will be ripped to pieces
Try the conspiracy theory forum, you will find more of your own kind.
And try some research
and you’re telling me this why 🤔
Its not about radius its about where the radar can see and detect them
It's another perfect replication of Nazi German looting of European museums and galleries. They have been doing the same to art galleries and museums in Mariupol.
At this point, there 'should' - talking to you, India - be strict and severe sanctions in place until all the abducted children and adults have been returned; the stolen cutural and artistic treasures have been returned, and reparations to fund the reconstruction of Ukraine have been paid or iron-clad agreements to do so have been obtained.
The Orcs even stole millions in Hryvnia from a post office job.
Common thieves and pirates.
I honestly find this whole historic context for justification of Russian aggression ridiculous. Like should we bring back Prussia and the Austria Hungarian and ottoman empire too? It's absolutely bananas. All that matters is now. Perhaps we should all be annexed by the kingdom of Ethiopia.
Looting has been part and parcel of warfare for millennia, it didn't start with the Nazis.
One only has to watch antiques roadshow to see all the rare priceless ceramics that great great grandfather managed to bring back from British wars in the far East.
which means it's only a short range interceptor, not a long range stand off defence, which Russia claims with the likes of Aegis.... it's painful that this needs to be spelled out to you
120km as mentioned...i.e. short range
also, radius does matter when nuclear weapons are involved
One key difference with the German army of 1939 is that that German army was huge in size, well armed, well trained and a professional fighting force. The current Russian army seems to be a shambles in comparison - badly trained, badly equipped, poorly led and organised, weak on tactics and strategy etc. I think we're finding out that Putin and his advisors and state media are the biggest bunch of spoofers and wind up merchants going. Lots of hot air about being a 'global power,' but nothing to back it up with.
