They deliver less that Kia and Hyundai. You can see the stats here.
I for one was waiting a very long time (7 months) and gave up I now drive an Ioniq 5.
But people tend to get upset here when I make the point of lack of Tesla delivery to the Irish market (good news only allowed) 😜.
Was doing 150 km pH yesterday on a motorway and a model 3 overtook me like I wasn't there ,out of sight within a minute
Had that happen to me 2km out from an Applegreen last year. Beat me to the sole charger by literally 90 seconds which added 45mins to my journey!
Has anyone got the Model 3 pet liner for their car? Thinking about getting it as we have other ones that are not customised for the car and they havent worked well.

Because he is @Mad_maxx
have you not seen the movie? ;)
youre mam was on stage at 9 pm and i was late
Lol...
Interesting figures coming out of the UK with Tesla leading sales.
Reflective of a market that is completely disfunctional now due to supply issues.
I am using my 3 super off peak hours every few days to top up my LR model 3. This is roughly 30% charge... So I am charging from 50-80% or there abouts.
Is there anyway to have a Tesla just charge during set hours? Currently I set it to start at 2am and set a charge limit of +30% above current charge.
Over the last 8 days I’ve put 66kWh into my car from Solar PV. Which works out around 450km!!
it’s currently sitting outside on 90%, and if we didn’t have a scheduled power outage tomorrow (which will knock off the solar), I’d have gone for a drive tonight just so there was space in the car for tomorrows excess generation!! I don’t anticipate a whole lot of charging from the grid for the next few months bar the odd occasion we have a long trip planned…
Just home from my first test drive of a Tesla - took a Model 3 out for 20 mins. Brilliant experience and my wife was very impressed too.
What are peoples thoughts on the SEAI grant come October? Is it likely that it’ll be reduced or even scrapped? I don’t think I could go an additional €5k should it be scrapped completely but would be very interested in getting a deposit in now so as delivery would t be pushed out further into 2023.
I get that the deposit would prob be lost should the grant be scrapped in that case.
Also, do you need to sort financing when you place an order or can that be done later down the line? Need time to decide if I go private or through business
thanks!
It can be done later down the line, no need to sort financing right away, finance offers are only valid for a certain number of days, say 30, and if your car won't be here for 9+ months the quote you get today won't be valid when the car arrives anyway.
Whatever happens if I was you and you are seriously interested in one, then get the deposit down asap. No one knows the future, but price increases likely IMO.
Agree with the above, although the deposit is now €250.
Ok.
The Euro has lost about 5% against the US Dollar since the big Tesla price increase in March. Another similar price increase and no Model 3 will be eligible for the grant anyway. All the more reason for getting the deposit down.
A small singer/songwriter called Ed :)
You are aware that some posters on boards don't live in Ireland?
You are aware that this poster could reside in Germany?
You are aware that some of the autobahns in Germany do not have speed restrictions on them?
You are aware of all this?
Deposit put down! 😁
Now the long wait 😁
It will be worth it.
The EUR/USD exchange rate was probably the major issue when all cars were manufactured in Fremont, but now the M3s we receive are MIC so exchange rates affects are much more complicated.
Tesla changes the prices without notice in both directions (although mostly up at the moment). Whilst we are not privy to the reasons why, you could be pretty confident that the current price rises at present are due to cost of inputs (materials, energy, labour) and shipping all increasing.
Add in shutdowns in the China factory due to lockdowns, prices are only going one way at the moment.
Almost ALL manufacturing contracts that are paid for in China, are paid using USD.
What I am saying is that a strengthening $US does not automatically translate into a price rise for an MIC M3 here as has been suggested. Otherwise you could expect correspondingly that the cost of a Model Y from Germany should be dropping?
With their factories US, China & Germany, managing cross-currency transactions & cost-centres internally is complex. Currency fluctations would be just one factor along with the others I mentioned being materials, energy, labour and shipping.
If there was one significant factor influencing price above all else, it would be the cost of battery production at the moment. Its well documented the price all of the raw materials such as lithium, colbalt, nickel etc are soaring at the moment.
The inevitable has happened, scraped my wheel off a curb and am raging at myself.
Can anyone recommend somewhere in Cork that can fix this? Maybe it’s not as specialised as paintwork? Thanks in advance.
It's probably more specialised than paint, unfortunately.
http://www.wheeldoctor.ie/ is probably the best in the country.
Watched a vid of an American standard M3 and it showed that the heated steering wheel and heated back seats are disabled by default and only available after payment of an additional charge...is this the case for Ireland also?
No. Standard here. Heck, my 2020 M3 has the rear seats heated as standard.
Mines a M3P with premium interior so I assumed it was standard on the 2020 car.
Yes was aware of that alright as I remember when they released the upgrade in app.
I just assumed the OP was talking new so confirmed that any new M3 today has these as standard.
My car missed the heated steering wheel by a month or 2 I believe! I find them very handy!
I'm pretty sure I have the new part heated steering wheel in my 2020 SR+, but don't see the option to unlock it, I only see the €200 option to unlock the rear heated seats..
I think to get the option opened up I'd need to contact service and get them to manually add the steering wheel heater upgrade option to my car/account (similar to what folk with LR's had to do to get the acceleration boost option added prior to it simply showing up in the app)
Might be worth an email to them. Thanks.
