Could have sworn I saw Murph in the crowd at the Mayo-Galway match a few minutes ago
Check their twitter feed later. I'm sure they'll post some humorous photo if he was caught on camera...
Called it (shared by Mark)
He might sound a bit rough tomorrow.
He must be friends with cameraman/director. How many times is that now!
Looks like Murph's uncanny ability to get himself on the telly is discussed in today's 2nd pod.
They really need to find some way to sort Miguel's audio
Just don't invite him on. Sorted.
I walked past Murphy at the match yesterday....saw him a mile off and was desperately trying to think of something to say to him as I got nearer but blanked completely.
He's a big man in fairness....surely could still do a job on the edge of the square for Galway 😉
Also spotted Andy Moran and one of the girls from Underdogs....it was like the Cannes film festival in Castlebar yesterday
I shudder every time I hear Rory Smyth say "Migs"
I liked them playing Ecstasy of Gold over Flynn and McConville kicking Galway.
Yes, cringe city, the love in amongst the journos on football podcasts is a real turn off. They spent a good few minutes yesterday discussing how "so and so wrote a great piece recently on yada yada".... give me strength
Didn’t they do the opposite? That a Newcastle based journo credited a photo with Newcastle’s renaissance and they all had a good laugh at that.
They did, but before that they referenced said journo's other pieces, I just find the journos discussing journos bits really boring..
I do like Ken, but at times his comments about the country remind me of Southsiders who I hung around with who thought everyone from outside the M50 kept their trousers up with bailing twine and snorkeled in bog water all day.
Jamie Wall left it late to get the Simpsons reference in.
Was this today's episode? What did he say? I skipped the hurling part so might have missed it
Nah, it was just little flashes of it that I heard on Monday's mini one. It was nothing too major really.
I find it hard to tell if Ken is being serious, taking the piss or just trolling half the time.
I see Barry's Tea have replied to the lads on Twitter.
Alas, I don't have the patience to work out how to put tweets in my Boards posts.
Ken's Lampard issues coming to the fore again, it's easy to say that Everton went out with a gameplan to lose but he doesn't offer much of an alternative.. has he watched this Everton team at all this year? They are utterly useless and incapable of going toe to toe with the sides around them nevermind one of the best Liverpool sides ever.
Enjoyed the new Ken audiobed on David Silva 😆
Ken's report on sport was very boring yesterday. A rare miss.
Only getting the end of the Galway game on telly here.
Has Murph been on yet?
It's fair to say Jessica McCaskill isn't running a Katie Taylor fan club.
Cant stand her myself. In an interview last year she said she thinks her family (dad excepted, perhaps) are god's chosen people. F that.
I know that interview - I don't think it was intended as "we're better than everyone else", but rather, we were chosen to live a very hard life because of where it would take us. I'm not a fan of that idea either to be honest, but it's the fairly standard religious sports-person that thanks god for getting them where they are. Almost entirely amongst those with difficult upbringings too, as it's the demographic that the church always connects with most, whether it's Brazil or Ballymun.
I think Ken dislikes Declan Ricesssssssss even more then he dislikes Ronaldo
