Clerical Officer in the Civil Service 2022 | Civil Service - publicjobs.ie
Hi the same happened me with Meath county council I got an email a few weeks later saying I have being selected for interview the score to pass the interview was over 400 I achieved just over 600 but received an email saying you have achieved the required result but we have decided due to the large volume of applicants that achieved higher scores my results did not meet this but they will keep my application on file. Fingers crossed for you maybe Dublin might be different
Was it online?
You can request a transfer on day 1 to a different county / dept. Or even a different dept in the same county AFAIK.
So get the request in asap anyway! But you got to wait 2 years to be allowed mobility as you said but get the name in the hat at least early.
First day went really well, a good few of us started together so that helped! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
I was asked to pick locations but i didnt see any list
Should get results soon!
Mine weren’t that far behind my interview, but still waiting on the clearance team to contact myself.
Anyone know how it’s going in Dublin? I only interviewed this week and haven’t received results yet. Just wondering how active the panel has been! Thanks 😊
How many references do you need? Are they strict on the amount of references, and on contact details? My references no longer work for the companies I was working in so I have no way of contacting them
@cherrychapstick when I received the email for my vetting it also asked for my references and gave the start date for my position. I received the email on the Friday and I had to have everything completed by the following Tuesday, including vetting. I would check to make sure with them. If you didn't get a start date yet it may be more flexible.
They gave me a choice of locations only for the counties I put down in my application
No if you accept EOI for one county I think you are removed from the other county choice?
Got EOI today... am oom 89 for Westmeath ..update for those waiting on Westmeath
Just an expiry date on the link that came from Garda vetting, I just I assumed the whole process couldn’t be completed until that was submitted, therefore delaying any start date for me.
Did PAS give you a deadline to have vetting and documentation submitted? Also, I was placed before my vetting was completed...
anyone know if it’s ok to hold off filling in the online vetting until just before the link is due to expire?
just trying to delay my process a bit so I can get as close to the end of the school year before im due to start, so sorting school pickups is less of a juggle if I’m office based! 🥴
Anyone know how long from sending off your vetting to getting the date to start is taking at the moment?
@Summerdays22 well more of that to come please god!
@Na445 no 17
Hi there,
Can i ask did they give u a list of locations in the county you interviewed for or do you just say locations to them?.
oh thats brilliant well done 😁. Yeah, same got another message later to choose areas. Best of luck!
Thanks very much Lindy. I am glad it went so well for you!
Everyone seems so friendly already, I have had a few emails the past few days with little buts of info.
This thread is for Clerical Officer in the Civil Service. Councils run their own campaigns, they don't use PAS so it's a different run of events. I'd imagine there'd be fewer positions going as well compared to a civil service department. Search for Clerical Officer in Dublin City council on here, there may be a thread running. Best of luck.
@ladz It was the start of April, got word I passed the following week then I was emailed to my personal email re location selection. There were 3 locations and I picked 2 of them. I'm hoping it's a good sign. Haven't a clue about the vacancies I'm afraid
Yeah got the email at 8.30 this morning to say I had passed and was still on the same OOM. Then got a further email asking about my location selection
@Summerdays22 happy days! From my experience they are super welcoming and i had a flurry of emails waiting for me when i started so i could get set up on everything. I have a welcome meeting wit HR via video call in 2 weeks (which will be my third week in the civil service)
Best of luck with your new position you will love it.
Dublin OOM 514 and just got assigned my department, Public Appointments Services. Happy days! Look forward to starting the new chapter.
Thanks everyone for the insight and support during the process.
Did you hear anything yet? I got the message this morning i passed thank god. fingers crossed for you :)
