Hopefully the Baltic, Poland, Czech etc will move in as a block to meeting the Russian threat to Moldova.
What was Rand's point here?
Looks like people in Moscow are as ignorant as the rest,no hope for any peace here
Only way to stop Putin is to defeat him
Insinuating his status quo is that the USSR still exists, and it's OK for Russia to "manage" this notion
You can probably still find Nazi gold under the streets of Switzerland
Hello fine chap. Would you like to buy some magic beans?
Id well believe it
That attitude won't last long if conscription is brought in and the likes of this deluded dope is sent off to be cannon fodder by his masters.
I have seen video of an ex Azov steel employee turned collaborator, showing the Orcs on a map, the best places to hide, in particular the machine shops, so they could better target their strikes. So, I wouldn't pay that tool too much heed.
Dumb fu(ks over there.
The RTE news refering to the Azov battalion as "the far right Azov regiment".
Wtf are they echoing Russian propaganda for?
Left wing solidarity from Montrose?
Both RTE & PUTIN are CNUTS
What's the story in Vladivostock? Weird timing for a fire and can't think of any reason that would be good for us. Unless there's internal sabotage.
Switzerland is like Ireland. Neutral. Swiss law prohibits arms sales into conflict zones. This is not new. To supply arms to Ukraine would require a law change and being Switzerland a law change would mean a referendum for the population to vote on. Switzerland adopting EU sanctions is already seen here as not being particularly neutral but given it is impossible to justify russias actions no fuss has really been kicked up. However actively supplying arms to another country involved in war would be a step too far for the Swiss. Just like Ireland is not really going to commit itself to doing anything in Ukraine either.
"Mariupol, the struggle continues!
In inhuman conditions, children and women live, operations are carried out, human lives are saved.
Soldiers of the Regiment "Azov", 36 brigades of marines and other units are firmly opposed in an unequal battle."
It was previously reported that the female military medic killed, was the last Dr in Mariupol, suggesting some crazily brave heroic medicos have actually gone there very recently. Smuggled in on that crazy mad desperate nighttime helicopter supply drop? That thing must have been flying below tree top height and between some.
so they only export arms that cannot be used in conflict zones. What exactly are the arms for then?
There is a world where Azov can be both a reprehensible far right organisation and fighting on the correct side in this instance.
What the misinformation wants people to do is eliminate any nuance from discussion and then use any wedge they can to paint the “other” as being entirely “Bad” because they are not 100% squeaky clean “good”. The scary thing is the number of people this seems to work on
The 9th Confirmed loss of an SU-34 (Shot down a few days before the Spinning SU-34)
Makes that at least 324,000,000 USD lost across just these 9 different airframes.
Going to be very hard for Russia to replace any of these more advanced aircraft given the embargo's. 120 SU-34's left in service now.
“Fire in worlds largest country shocker”
The same, except the bit where neutral Switzerland has a large arms industry.
Defense I think
This stuff is commonplace on Kremlin state TV. Every night, they have interviews with people claiming to be ecstatic at being "liberated" by the Putin forces and saying what monsters the Ukrainians are......it's completely divorced from any reality (the same liars claim Mariupol has been completely flattened by Ukrainian shelling i.e. Ukraine is using heavy artillery on its own cities, destroying everything and killing all its own civilians).
"Appeal of the pilots of the Air Force of the Armed Forces
of Ukraine to the international communityPolkovnik Yuriy Bulivka, fighter pilot of the 1st class:
– I am the winner of several air shows in Europe, showed aerobatics figures on the Su-27, my friend and mentor – the legendary pilot-ace Alexander Oksanchenko, who had before represented the Ukraine at these shows, died on February 25 in the sky of Kiev.
Even aerobatics of this level will not save the invaders from missiles. We need more modern aircraft to counter the enemy in the air.
The American Falcon F-16, F-15, and maybe F-18, would be enough to tilt the advantage to our side. After all, these aircraft have powerful onboard radars, technological equipment, and most importantly – missiles with active homing heads.
We have an action plan for the fastest retraining of pilots and aviation personnel.
In order to quickly master this technique, decisions must be made now so that it is not too late."
Interesting that these knowledgeable professionals think they could get usefully up to speed in a meaningful time frame.
That makes little sense as the minute you are attacked and put them to use, the Swiss will say 'no ammo or spares for you!'
Is that 120 counting the polystyrene ones?
Would you look at the state of this. Build better myself.
Self-defence. Main buyers are Germany and Sweden I think. Switzerland is neutral but well armed in order to guarantee that neutrality. I don’t think that neutrality is for turning, it’s a central pillar of Swiss foreign policy and heavily supported by the Swiss people. Much like Ireland, I suspect neutrality doctrine woujd be challenged if the country itself was attacked. But like Ireland no-one has attacked in a long while.
"Ukraine has moved into a fundamentally new phase – the transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to NATO
weapons The armed forces of Ukraine are beginning the transition to NATO weapons, which has not even been discussed recently.
"We have moved into a completely new phase, which even two months ago no one thought about. We have moved into a fundamentally new phase, which even no one dreamed of – the transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to NATO WEAPONS, to the NATO standard. And this is already happening," Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said during an online inclusion on his Facebook page.
The Minister also said that President Vladimir Zelensky was able to convince Joe Biden that it was time to do it.
"And the howitzers came to us first, but this is only the beginning, much more will come to us. "This is a historic moment," Added Kuleba."
Whoa, wait, what? Historic seems almost an understatement.
Putin will blow his top, this after the defence ministers meeting as well
