It's clear the text was written by someone whose first language is not English. They probably need to be proof read by a native speaker until they get up to scratch.
I doubt it, there are plenty of home grown people who are not able to put a sentence together. They use words randomly without understanding - or being interested in finding out - what the words mean. The hatred of 'grammar nazis' means this rubbish 'English' is perpetuated.
There is no way this was written by a native English speaker.
It might be an extremely poor online translation but realistically it is too bad to be that unless the foreign language input was gobbledygook to start with.
The estate agent is renowned for her incorrect use of notorious.
which evidently both roads uphold the demand of being an address to call home
I'm not sure what that gibberish is meant to mean. "While both roads maintain the standard of an address deserving to be called home"? Still awful though.
I like this, a lot of rooms to use for varying things, but I would have to put some colour in it somewhere, I couldn't hack all of that white everywhere.
Although going by the other properties for sale in Swinford, I can't make out if €400k is asking bit too much.
It would make a great b&b, I wouldn't fancy living in it just as a single family though.
Reminded me of a nursing home I used to work in from the outside, some of the equipment inside seems to back that up.
There is also a lot of baby stuff in there though. it's a really odd property. And what is up with the bed in pic 32?
It looks like 2 mattresses one on top of the other maybe? Although part of me is wondering if it is a mattress at all and not a box with a duvet cover/sheet tucked in around it.
I see that it can be split into two houses, according to the blurb. Would be interesting to know the history of why it was built that way.
It would make a good nursing home. I don't know if Swinford would get enough b&b business for it to work as a guest house.
My guess is that it was owned by the nuns and they lived there for a while. I can't see a family installing fire extinguishers with signage in the hall. I'm guessing then a family bought it off the nuns and they are the ones now selling it.
I know what you did here, the prison is actually across the road from it. Prison is beside the garage in top right of the first picture. so the security on the building could be that of the army on roof of prison 😁
The nuns could still live there. There is a dartboard, Pool table, and arcade machine. 😜
I'd say you are right, there's an aerial view of it here, although I am not sure why - https://www.paradisepossible.ie/Property/Shalom-Chapel-Street - maybe it was also a guesthouse for a while?
I love the interactive video on the main listing. It's a lot bigger than I thought initially.
There are lot of cots in the Shalom property. Weird.
I counted 3 cots and a changing table.
Then something for an older person/disabled with the bed and shower seat etc..
Gym equipment, arcade games, office....
I'm confused/curious.
Could be some kind of womens refuge or emergency accommodation ?
I'm thinking "social services" of some sort.
Care/Nursing home run by a family with kids?
I wonder how many of the nuns have babies. 🤣🤣🤣
Most refuges/disability services/HSE etc. are crying out for properties. Can't see any of them selling this house if they owned it. I'm sticking with it used to be nuns, who sold it to someone else and they are now selling it. It was sold in 2020 for €190k.
Found this one courtesy of Reddit.
Fcuk me that's bleak. A glorified shed in someone's back yard for a hape of money. Get ta'fcuk.
Exactly. And it would be like living in a coffin!
It's in a very popular area but still over priced for what it is. Then again when you compare it to the mobile homes in Wexford for €300k+ it's a bargain!
circa €165K to live out your pine fantasy.....cripes.
Great fun in that pine coffin trying to get up the stairs when you're healthy let alone when you are old and fooooked.
Are you a discerning cult leader looking for that ideal place to house your followers, as you lead them into into the next life?
Then look no further......
......and if photo no. 6 doesnt inspire you, then Im not sure what will.
Picture 16, hello suicide window but in a Wallace and Gromit style 🤔
"positive social history"
Current capacity to accommodate 50 people, always a residential property with positive social history dating back to 1800s.
I can't see them getting the colour of €800k for it. It has potential as a site if you had proper planning permission but you could do nothing with that building.
I loved this bit below. Value for money! 16 years ago was the absolute height of the boom. 🤣
Value for money! 16 years ago the property sold for what is the current asking price. Since then, improvements and inflation add hundreds of thousands in value. AMV estate agent valuations and previous sale prices on record, document this.
I thought these steps were to make it easier for jumpers but alas no, it's the fire exit. 🤣
I actually am a cult leader but not a rich one yet. I'm still in the early stages and haven't asked my flock for their money yet. I have to get more followers, anyone interested in joining just shoot me a PM.
Just to add I am Jesus.
