I would not be too surprised if a small number of FSB officers were working with Ukraine to disrupt Putin and his loony toon world. It is clear that the US and the Ukraine are getting intel from someone on the inside in Russia. I can not see Putin lasting beyond the summer.

If Ukraine actually managed to drive the Russians back from some of the Eastern territories they currently hold, how could Putin possibly sell that to his people?
There does seem to be significant military hardware heading to Ukraine's Army so the idea of Russia losing more ground is not inconcievable.
Right now he can bullshit that they never intended to take the whole country, but only wanted the East, but if they were to lose ground in the East - surely thats a Russian loss that just cant be 'spun' as anything other.
Putin shows no sign of accepting any outcome other than a 'victory', he has kind of backed himself into a corner on this.

People are nearly forgetting too that Ukraine and its armed forces are fully mobilised and in a state of war - Russia on the other hand claims not to be even at war and that this is no different to peacetime.
Agree with it being infuriating watching Russians living in this country openly showing their support of what their country's forces are currently doing to Ukraine.
Don't really agree that the letter Z will be dropped from the alphabet for the reason that Russia is currently using it as an ominous symbol. By applying a dash of common sense, we can easily work out if it's being used as a sign of support for Russia in Ukraine or it being a letter used to spell a word.
I read they were using 60 year old stock Rocket Propelled Grenades, each with 3D Printer made stability fins added similar to that picture so they drop straight like aerial bombs, instead of having a long arcing trajectory if used from a grenade launcher.
It's certainly cute engineering if true, but cunning invention during war is as old as the hills.

No I don't believe that's true at all frankly. And I think it's that type of watery thinking that causes alot of problems. We have various laws to protect the wider Public , public good and minorities. If people are the absolute anthesis of the aspirations of a nation then no they shouldn't pass a citizenship test nor should they remain there. Cheerleading Nazism should be a means lose acquired citizenship or be fined or prison time.

A counter rally should be held. 100k anti war demonstrators surround these clowns and the Gardai should remove any facist symbols they chose to display. All the famines in Ukraine were when it was under Soviet rule the last one in 1946 long after the Germans were gone...there were no famines in Ukraine during the German occupation, some food shortages caused by the war yes but no famines.

Towards the end of the Vietnam war some American units were flat out refusing to carry out some orders, or else negotiating with officers about what they would and wouldn't do or haggling over how certain tasks would be carried out, with officers wary of pushing it for fear of being "fragged". It's not beyond possibility that parts of the Russian army has reached this point.
I know what you mean about people spitting on the very freedoms they enjoy, unfortunately if you start deciding who can gather and who can't you're dismantling your own freedoms. Anyway, give these clowns enough rope and they'll probably break some hate speech law that they can be nicked for.

I love immigration, I love all colours and creeds coming into the country. I get a buzz working with people not from here and seeing them play GAA and be very good at it and equally be not great but it's the taking part that counts.
I **** hate and I mean hate when people come here, set up businesses and fire it back in our faces. I hate when people get so cocky they show disdain towards the country that had provided them opportunity. I hate when they stand on the side of wrong . I hate when they have access to all the free media in the world and chose to blindly follow the media of the aggressors.
The Irish people would be doing a severe injustice to our Ukrainian friends by just standing aside and letting these people walk out streets.
50 years from now, I can see Z being disposed from the alphabet and up there with the Swastika. As I type untold atrocities are being committed. They will only come to light in years from now.

If Putin says no to storming the Azovstal steel plant I half expect that will exactly happen tomorrow. The Phoenix Ghost drone system could be an excellent addition and a better option than aircraft. Aircraft and tanks only provide Russia with targets I am afraid. I have not got a clue what could be done for the poor souls holding out in the steelworks.
This graph I'd imagine matches the rise in oligarchy. And thus their money and influence outside of Russia. Would be interesting to track the fortunes of certain German politicians and policy makers against the same period.

It was recently reported that outside provisions were getting in to Mariupol even though it’s blockaded. I understood that to mean food and ammo.
I’d guess with so many at the steel plant, it must have its own source of water. The city water has allegedly been cut off for over a month.
