Maybe it reminded him of the atrocities that the Japanese never committed in China and elsewhere. 😊
This is the leader of modern Chechnya
In other news, Airfix has announced a new range of toy soldiers.
An overview on current Russian progress. TLDR, some advances, but generally slow
FS... couldn't even do it bare chested. 😏🙄
Russia has taken Mariupol
Germany was incredibly short sighted, led astray by arrogance and 20 years of leadership that was serving an enemy State.
Russia may take most of the East, flat rural country. It will still have to hold it. It's going to lose a lot of men to get there.
Germany must now deal with a war settling in to a long term trench with occasional flare up on the edge of Europe.
Eastern Europe will be facing a long term threat where they will have to be armed and ready and focused on military spending.
It's an economic screw up for years to come. Germany may think it's loyalty to Russia may be rewarded long term but they are trusting a country with no loyalty to them.
Long term it's a big problem for all of Europe , politically, economically and socially, it's going to drive globally political chaos for years to come.
?
This isn't far off 'ocular pat-down' territory.
That does sound bad for Russia, from our perspective, but I wonder how Russians will see it. Have they gotten so used to modern standards of living that such a shrinkage of the economy will be untenable and lead to a popular uprising, or will the folk memory of Russian misery make enough of them shrug their shoulders and say, 'Oh, well.... Back to 'normal''?
There is no 'may' about it, with Russian troops already occupying Transnistria it's even more obvious and blatant an intent than Donbas and the little green men.
If you want a good laugh, watch the obsequious Oliver Stone interviews with Putin on YouTube.
Russia won't stop, unless it is forced to stop.
It's aim, clearly stated, is to bring down the world order.
It's going to hold food exports because the resulting instability on the edge of Europe, will put immense pressure on Europe.
He is going to try to make the shaky, debt loaded Europe collapse in to pieces, not just EU break up but sink in to an economic mire.
In a fight you put the other fellow down. That's what must be done here.

Another chip pan fire, nothing to see here
Here's an interesting take on that https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2022/04/20/the-four-russias-and-ukraine-a77423
What the hell does that have to do with anything ?
another one with Napoleon complex...
I think he has CoD complex myself........
Does it make a difference if it is a hypersonic chip pan?
The irony of Japanese getting all emotional about Russian atrocities when they won't even acknowledge their own.
Her. Maybe watch the **** video.
Pure whataboutery. Countries can do right from their past wrongs you know.
This is good news for Ukraine. Armaments have been pouring into the country since Saturday at least (the new shipments from the US and Europe) and this is giving them time to get them down to the south and east.
Calm down. I said I found it ironic - I didn't say you had to. And countries can only do right from their past wrongs after acknowledging them.
Also, maybe try checking my posting history before you accuse me of whataboutery.
Incredible footage. If they can keep up development on these things they seem like game-changers, especially in any protracted conflict. I am sure the Russians will use jammers and develop counter-measures, but so far the Ukrainians seem to be using UAVs and these smaller drones to great effect
I was watching a funny video lately of how easily a drone can be converted
2 dead and 20 injured according to the official number. The real numbers probably a multiple of that.
Indeed. Also the new military drones that are coming out now, like the switchblades from the yanks - they can fly up to 40 km and hit a target with the force of a javelin missile. The Americans have already sent some smaller variants but if they could start to get serious numbers of the bigger ones into Ukraine they could really change the situation
Where did Europe get its oil and gas from before Russia?
The Soviet Union
