Clerical Officer in the Civil Service 2022 | Civil Service - publicjobs.ie
Great thanks, did you find it easier? God I got a 40 minute grilling was awful! I was placed on the panel but way down, wouldn't be hopeful of being called, it's a small county.
Easier in terms of questioning was very vague and personality based. Found the LA was like a quiz lol but they gave you chances to answer this one didn't. But I passed so guess it didn't matter my answer as much me attempting to lol
I am starting this day week and still have not heard from my department re starting time, who to meet etc. I emailed the email address I was given but heard nothing yet. Is this normal? Thanks.
It can be normal yes, my most recent move I got a call Thursday evening after 6 and I was starting Monday. Don’t worry yet
Thanks Crinkley I was ok all along but I think nerves are setting in now and having the details would help me relax.
Have you heard anything since? It's not the Revenue dept by any chance? I was told my location and start date before all the forms too but am waiting on contact from my department, due to start this day week.
I was given my department on the 15th of march. Was told HR would be in touch with start date location etc but heard nothing since 🙈
It seems we are all in the same boat so 🙈 did you get any contact email, I tried it twice and no reply.
@Summerdays22 crazy isnt it. Have they even given you a location?? There was a contact name but i havent heard anything back. So strange!
I was told the location alright the Revenue Office but as far as I can tell it is still closed 🤔
Yup I’ve gotten my contract since and done payroll details but I’ve another couple of weeks to go so assume you’ve also filled these in?!? Only know my date/dept at the moment
Hi guys
Do PAS request copies/proof of education and qualifications at any stage of the process.
Anyone know where they are in terms of OOM for offers? My girlfriend just done her EVetting.
Thanks
So... Absolutely stunned! Did my interview this morning. Thought I did terrible, but just got word I passed. 😲 Given that it was after 12 when it finished, certainly wasn't expecting to get any word back this side of the weekend, but super efficiency seems to be in play here. Now the waiting game begins in earnest.
Well done.
Very fast indeed.
Did you retain same OOM.
Best Of Luck with it all.
Thanks. Yes, same OOM.
@Summerdays22 @peanutk i started in my dept on tues just gone. I had a number of emails from HR in the 2 weeks before i started and my line manager called me 1 week before i started. I would imagine ul hear something during the week and if u dont email HR for info required.
Best of luck!
@Lindyd33 how are you getting on?
I just did all my pre employment checks and got allocated to revenue with a start date for end of June. Should I hand in my notice now or wait until I'm contacted by HR.
Yea so far so good. Im in an office with lovely and very helpful people. Lots to learn but ive plenty of time and support to do that. Fingers crossed for u
For clerical officer what are the values of civil service and why are they important x
The CS aim to provide essential public services with processes that are easy to understand.
The general public know their rights and entitlements nowadays so the demand a high level of custom service
Hope that's useful
heres a pdf some of you may find useful for a bit of general knowledge. Covers basic info like values, employee numbers & challenges.
Hi, can anyone tell me, I have completed vetting, filled forms and lastly gotten my reference as I am currently employed which has been deemed satisfactory but have heard nothing since which was 11 days ago, no dept or date etc, looking here seems like it's usually quicker than that, any advice, should I be following up and to who, clearance? or is their job done, feel in limbo. Anyone else in the same position? Any insight would be great, very anxious, thank you
Hi guys,
Just wondering does anyone know what OOM the clearance team are on?
if you’ve been contacted recently?
Been waiting awhile since completed my interview.
many thanks
I emailed them on Friday but haven't heard anything from them as of yet, I did my interview on the 4th of April and got the results on the 12th, I'll let you know if they get back to me
I appreciate that
Am I right in thinking that the next stage after getting interview results is expressing location preference? Or is there something else that happens first? On average, how soon after does next stage happen? Thanks.
I was number 34 OOM for Meath and interviewd this morning.
