Line-ups for the eagerly anticipated World Series of Darts.
The Worlds Top 6 will play each event - MVG, Peter Wright, James Wade, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith and Fallon Sherrock.
Gary Anderson, Johnny Clayton and Dimiti Van de Berg will play two each, and extra players will be added for the NZ/Aus legs, presumably players from those countries.
PDC stars confirmed for 2022 World Series of Darts events | PDC
I don't think I've watched a single dart thrown in the World Series in years. The whole point of this series is to try and promote the sport around the world yet two of the events, one of which is finals night, are being held in Amsterdam! Makes no sense.
Very sad, I believe he was only commentating last night on the PL
Only 51 thats way too young. RIP
Very sad RIP
Was he the head commentator or 2nd in command and would of done some daytime sessions etc
RIP Mike Gregory, only 56 😳
Played in the most exciting darts match I’ve ever seen, the 1992 WC against Taylor
TbL
A sad couple of days for the sport.
He was 65, not 56. I think he was suffering from dementia for the last few years. Gregory's hey day was definitely before my time. Sad day though.
Thanks for correction.
Didn’t know he had dementia, terrible disease. I’ve never felt as gutted for a player before or since that final as I did for MG. Incredible final that I’ll never forget as long as I live.
RIP Mike Gregory
RIP Mike a great player should have won in 92. He also won the first ever PDC even or WDC as it was then the Lada open beating Priestly in the final he won a cheque for 5 grand and a Lada car. He also was one of the 2 who went back to the BDO caused some controversy at the time anyway RIP Mike thanks for the entertainment.
Don't think the Grand Prix is going to be on in City-West this year. They just announced the tickets are delayed. I presume this is because its being used for Ukrainians
Would another irish venue host it or like the last few years its going to the UK
Strange, I've already booked a room in the Citywest for the Friday night so obviously not all the hotel is being used for Ukrainians. It's free cancellation anyway.
I have to admit I was very surprised that the PDC decided to bring it back to the Citywest in the first place.
Well hopefully the PDC will shop around and move it a different venue around here. Not having the tournament here in Ireland the last two years made sense with the height of the pandemic (2020), and our entry restrictions (2021); but to not be here in Ireland in 2022 especially when the Premier League went off without a hitch this week would be ludicrous.
The crowds for the midweek matches are not the best, and they also had to move the final to the Saturday night as the Sunday final was never full either. I think moving it back to the UK or Europe was going to happen even before Covid started.
Luke Littler averaged 121 at the Welsh Open last night. 15 years old.
Here's the stats. Best of 5 match but impressive to hit for a 15 year old

Did realise it was only best of 5. Not as impressive so
It is for a 15 year old kid.
You set high standards my friend.
Littler is a serious player. He won both the Youth tournament and the Welsh Open Men's tournament averaging 102 in the semi final and 93 in the final. Unfortunately for him, he's not turning 16 until January 21st, 2023 so he's too young to enter Q-School until 2024. He's easily capable of playing on the Pro-Tour already.
Beau Greaves beat Fallon Sherrock in the final of the Women's Open.
Beau was brilliant in the final against Sherrock. Checkouts of 125 and 158. She beat Lisa in the semis too. Hope she starts playing in the PDC women's tour she could still qualify for the matchplay
Wade is still in hospital in Germany.
Ted Hanley jailed for 2 years
It was all on video and he still denied it sick man he's exactly what you'd picture a paedophile to look like
Wankey hankey
Grand Prix confirmed to be gone from Citywest and will be played in Leicester instead
Such a shame its looking like the Dublin hosting duties are coming to a definite end but its not a huge shock considering the struggle to get people in for the first few nights the last couple of years in the citywest
Have some good memories of been there esp doing an all nighter in the residents bar. If the walls of that hotel could talk
cannot see it coming back here for years unfortunately :(
