Of course. They’d be off their heads not to join. We will sit here in our precious “neutrality” pretending the world owes us something.
Not sure if this has been posted yet (if so I missed it):-
Per the comments, that's about 1/2 what they started out with. I wonder what the number really is, and likewise how effective they are in the face of troop desertions and massive equipment loss/failure. Another couple weeks of this and poof go the Raskies.
US Nat. Sec. Advisor Jake Sullivan is pointing out that both options re. the Moskva are nearly as bad as each other for the Putin regime i.e. either it was wrecked by Russian incompetence or by Ukrainian missile strikes......both are PR disasters for Putin.
And forget PR both mean shes out of action
I see we've picked up a "new" useful idiot.
Please posters, DO NOT GO DOWN THIS RABBIT HOLE and leave this ‘LADY’ , if that what it is, to his/her own little world
"It, eh.... The ship's crew were so dizgooosted by the absolute BANG of Nazism coming off Ukraine, that they entered a state of mass psychosis and blew up their own ship. We must prevent more incidents like this by absolutely piling troop in. Full mobilisation job.
-- Putin
Russian-born Leonid Nevzlin left for Israel in 2003, thus avoiding the life sentence he had been sentenced on charges of alleged conspiracy and murder. In mid-March, the billionaire announced that he was resigning from Russian citizenship. "Everything Putin touches dies," he wrote then.
Nevzlin presented on Facebook some information related to the government of Vladimir Putin. "Shoigu is out of the game," we read. According to the information cited by the businessman, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoygu, is currently in the intensive care unit after a major heart attack. "Even if he survives, he will be disabled," writes Nevzlin.
Another piece of information the businessman shared concerns the generals of the Ministry of Defense. According to Nevzlin's sources, 20 of them were to be arrested in connection with the embezzlement of funds allocated to the preparation for the clash with Ukraine. "Since 2014, approximately $ 10 billion, which were designated by Putin to prepare the blitzkrieg, has been stolen " we read. In addition, in connection with the case, Putin's former adviser, Władisław Surkow, is detained. The information that the Russian politician and businessman is to be under house arrest was given a few days ago by the opposition activist Ilya Ponomariov.

how you got to 88 posts I will never know, lax moderating day maybe
Sums it up:-
No it's not if you haven't been on the the thread for hours or even a day.
Trust me on that.
Some of us can't remain glued to it as other things in life like work, family, etc kick in.
And trying to use a phone with this site is a nightmare.
Also even when you are on, you may be trying to formulate a reply to a post and by the time that is complete and posted the thread has already 10 or more posts.
If NATO turned down the Soviets’ membership request, the USSR would have a reason to form an alliance against NATO that they would say was an aggressor.
Say for the sake of it, Putin in his obsession to rectify historical mistakes ( as he has been quoted as saying) decides that Afghanistan needs " de-Nazification" and invades. To a man, ever Afghan, regardless of tribe or ethnicity would take up arms to fight him, same as what happened in Ukraine. And the leadership would not even be in question, as each Tribe / Area would have its own commanders. Previously warring tribes would put their animosity to each other on the back burner, and turn their undivided attention to the common enemy, the Russians. And this is what happened before. The downside of this of course, was once the Russians were driven out, civil war broke out.
I think what you are thinking about is how quick the Taliban took over, but that's a completely different situation. Maybe if some one like Shah Masood had lived, he might have been such a leader that could rally all the tribes to his banner. Unfortunately no on else has emerged since him. So its back to Tribal ways.
"Forwarded from
IT ARMY of Ukraine
We got access to the data of the courier service, through which soldiers of the Russian army sent looted from Ukrainian peaceful families. After retreating from the Kiev region, looters sent these rechi from the Belarusian Mozyr, Russian Kursk and Zheleznogorsk and other border towns. This map contains full information about the Russian army of looters - where they live and where they sent the loot. The map will be updated: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1DdVE421OqBr2e8O71UFlk5PC6FFrVDJn&ll=58.16381487427821%2C81.62282800000003&z=3"
I hope eBay and reputable selling platforms act on this sort of stuff.
Perhaps the various NATO countries could catch Russia off guard (or rather just confuse the f**k out of them) and apply to join the CSTO.
"Google is suspending monetization of content that spreads fakes about Russia's war against Ukraine or denies or justifies it. This also applies to materials that deny tragic events. Such a decision will hit Russian propagandists hard. YouTube, although it stopped monetizing in Russia on February 26, google services continued to work."
That was quick, only took 50 days.
And one sentence stands out
" Wild rumors are already circulating on social media platforms about the destruction of the “Moskva”: Russia-friendly users believe that the Ukrainians only achieved this success with the help of Western nations. And one user writes that he would not be surprised “if a US Navy SEAL team was involved in this operation”.
Read down through the report, and its at the bottom section.
Gorbachev said that Chernobyl was the one single event that brought down Communism... I wonder will this have the same effect???
Putin's solution to Russia's declining population is to steal children from other countries.
Sanctions shouldn't lifted until every last child is returned.
Was just thinking has there ever been a war for that? Then realised maybe that's not exactly what it is, it's ethnic cleansing as a means for population increase. Fucked up.
I hope I'm wrong, but, my gut tells me some of those children will never be seen again.
Trust me. It is and I have family and the rest. If you can read at least 3 pages back your being lazy. Your jumping straight to the end of the thread to stick in a post as quick as possible. Is that even contributing?it could be argued... It's not
Surprising lack of stuff being sent to Dagestan and Chechnya, as if they aren't even there!
Any missile is hard to detect regardless if its subsonic
The subsonic sea skimming missiles are flying a few meters above the surface hiding in the sea clutter demands early detection from a well trained and experienced radar operator and will only de detected while coming over the radar horizon, giving only a few minutes to respond.
The only thing that will give it away is when the missile start using its own active radar seeker coming over the horizon
NATOs sea skimming stealthy missiles using imaging infared wouldnt have this issue, they are passive, like the LRASM and NSM missiles and very hard to detect.
