And forget PR both mean shes out of action
US Nat. Sec. Advisor Jake Sullivan is pointing out that both options re. the Moskva are nearly as bad as each other for the Putin regime i.e. either it was wrecked by Russian incompetence or by Ukrainian missile strikes......both are PR disasters for Putin.
Per the comments, that's about 1/2 what they started out with. I wonder what the number really is, and likewise how effective they are in the face of troop desertions and massive equipment loss/failure. Another couple weeks of this and poof go the Raskies.
Not sure if this has been posted yet (if so I missed it):-
Of course. They’d be off their heads not to join. We will sit here in our precious “neutrality” pretending the world owes us something.
This is one of the absolute worst attrocities the orcs are commiting:
"The Ukrainian children who were forcibly taken to Russia are to be taught the Racist language, but again it will be by force. They are creating a "concentration camp" for them. Does this ring any bells?
In addition, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation is preparing a draft law that would allow for the transfer of orphaned children in the Ukrainian Donbas to Russian families"
No?
The quote seems pretty self explanatory: if Finland were to be in NATO it would be protected the same as the other eastern European members of NATO would.
He mentioned Finland. Is the deal done already behind closed doors.
It's particularly easy to read the thread from the last post you viewed. I do it all the time to make sure I'm not repeating stuff .
Actually only takes a minute to do. Tbh
It's lazy... I want to be first... Posting
For all of our sakes I hope not, false flags will be the first signs of the wheels coming off.
Rubbish.
I've followed this thread, contributed, and read every post. It's no more fast moving than loads of other threads on Boards.
I don't know what makes people feel qualified to dispute things with others on here when they've only skimmed through a handful of posts themselves. So in most instances they're posting blind. And citing articles and news that has already been posted by numerous others is a waste of their time and everyone else.
Not so much FFS, as you put it, but common sense.
that doesn’t matter if it’s portrayed as a defensive war to save the Russian state from NATO aggression. It’ll be re-positioned as an existential conflict
GPS receivers have omnidirectional antennae. The signal from GPS satellites is very weak due to the distances travelled to earth based receivers, so it should be fairly easy to drown the relevant frequencies without too much trouble given large amounts of power would be available. For best effect I'd imagine a jammer placed in a ballon above the reach of SAMs, near the stratosphere, would be the most effective method as a single jammer could cover a huge area.
Be that as it may, the Ukrainian military reported it's happenening, so it most probably is.
Ahh FFS you do know how fast this thread can be moving.
If you type response by the time you are finished there are 5 or 6 other responses up, ala the Special Operation Group blowing up the bridge.
And yes it may only be you that has the time to be glued to the thread watching all the traffic.
Four posts in short succession all telling us that Russian vessels have moved further off the coast.
When rejoining a thread, does anyone bother reading the new posts made since they last visited... or is it only me and certain others.
It's like watching multiple repeats on the TV - bloody boring.
The angle that they're going for is that "Ukrainian Nazis" have done all the damage to Mariupol.
But the penny must surely be starting to drop for some Russians. Two months into the war and the regime has achieved very little inside Ukraine (apart from widespread destruction of property and war crimes).
A correction -has 8 knobs
You do know they might have rebuilt it ?
But did the front fall off?
Official says less than half a dozen Russian warships in northern Black Sea have moved further away from the coast after the incident.
I wonder when will it dawn on some of them that if this "operation" was going so well then they would be seeing video on their TVs showing the poor put upon Ukrainians throwing sunflowers at their tank convoys as they entered Odessa, Kyiv, etc.
How do they hide the fact they have had to level a city that has had a high pro Russian population ?
Must be the salt air.
Anyone know where they were headed?
A justifiably graphic protest against rape by women outside the Russian embassy in Tallinn, Estonia
No coverage on the BBC of course, might upset someone.
Ahh FFS you compare what the sleeveen Dev did with regards Hitler to what the Swiss did enabling Hitlers war machine for over 5 years.
Yes that happened in the 40s, but don't ever forget the Swiss banking system still refused to return funds to the families of holocaust victims, who had lodged money into Swiss institutions before the war, until the 1990s when a US senator helped force the US government to threaten to withdraw banking licenses in the New York.
Only then did the Swiss start releasing funds.
Also the Swiss have long provided a conduit for every despicable scumbag dictator in the world to lodge and hide their ill gotten gains.
And you compare Switzerland a country that existed almost in the same makeup since the 13th century, with only a period of less than 20 years under foreign domination since then, with a state that has existed only a 101 years and which has spent 600 years under foreign occupation with continous ethnic clensing of the indigenous population.
Ireland has only known prosperity for the last 30 years so couldn't afford to do much with regards investment in defense.
Yes a lot more should be invested in maritime defenses, something of course Switzerland doesn't have to worry about unless you count lakes Geneva and Constance.
I have nothing but distain for a lot of what Switzerland stands for, because they are the ones that make money out of others misfortunes.
They did very well financially out of WW2 and they did very well out of the suffering in Africa that has existed ever since that continent got independence.
Now they may be very officious and organised, it may have a better form of democracy, it may be a beautiful country, but that doesn't change the facts of how it got a lot of it's wealth and power.
BTW I would have thought you kiwis would still be relying on the Royal Navy to protect your shores.
After all you guys used to give enough young lives to fight Britain's wars.
Anyway when are you going to grow a pair and declare proper independence 😉
Afraid of loosing a few more!
And it just shows the usual Russian propaganda, why move the fleet if it was only an accidental fire on the Moskva, though they will claim the other ships don't have the protection offered by the Moskva, that is all.
