Jays us that's weird ass house. Only good thing about that is if you were the type to sun bath when the sun is shining and there was a cold breeze the centre court yard would be nice and warm with the house blocking the wind.

After seeing tents in backyards being offered for 100 quid a night in Kinsale last summer on AirBnb, I don't find that surprising.
How did they get away with that? They would need toilets and showers in outside buildings like in a camp site to be legal.
That rathfarnham house, where the hell did they think they were going with 4m??? 3 years on, house prices generally up 15-20%, they've gone down 50% and its still overpriced.
One of the comments on that journal article were correct but for the wrong reasons. Said (in 2019) it would be half that price next year when the recession hits.
It is lovely inside, and set on a nice bit of land, but I wouldn't like to see the same views (of nothing really), no matter where I was in the house. I would prefer if the slit windows on the outside were much larger, but that would probably cost a fair bit itself.
I absolutely agree with you about the land, potentially lovely views of a very pleasing garden, but the house looks inwards. It is uplifting and beneficial to look into the distance when you can; its not always possible, but to deliberately build something that restricts vision is pointless. I don't agree that the interior is lovely, its like the offices of a manufacturing plant, makes me think of cars for some reason.
I assume the initial 3m price and even the price now is more related to the 3 acres not the haus.

I don't know they have friends and relatives that would be like them and may or may not it depends could throw a petrol bomb through your new house window just in spite or to pay respect to their falling mate all because you built a house where his house used to be.
