Because I lived in Ireland for 7 years…and retain an active interest in the country…hardly ever post outside the rugby forum, but discussion of politics, including Ukraine, banned on that forum. This pointless war saddens me and, like the vast majority of people, I’d be firmly in the Ukrainian camp. It’s somewhat miraculous that Switzerland has taken sides: virtually all EU sanctions have been equally imposed by the Swiss. They haven’t kicked out the Russian diplomats (and never will) but pretty much the rest has been put in place.
I guess the stamp needs to be updated, the Moskva is still intact in the drawing.
I agree, but its not about getting the money back for those companies. I see it as a way, any way, of putting additional pressure on the Germans. If we really want to get something back from Russia we can nationalise the alumina refinery here.
Afterall we bailed out their banks bad investments here.
France isnt much better, NATO is now above any future EU army in terms of preference. Cant trust German and French interests now they are too close to Russia.
If that's in Donbas with the trenches already dug then those guys sound perfect for some classic Russian human wave attacks.
"In the fighting on part of the territories of the south-eastern regions of Ukraine, as part of the grouping of enemy troops, there are separate units of the 103rd, 109th, 113th, 125th and 127th motorized rifle regiments. Structurally, these regiments number up to 5 battalions with a number of about 300 servicemen each. Only 5-10 percent of the personnel of these units have combat experience. The management of the regiments consists of "officers" of the horde. These formations have significant problems with the provision of weapons, ammunition and medicines. "
5- 10%!
In keeping with the Orc theme, the Ukrainian collective designation for Russians is the horde.
Ok....
Germany is a disgrace IMO.
How the became so powerful in EU is beyond me after the war the had.
They should be kicked out of EU and NATO at this stage.
Obviously news of this will never reach the ears of Russians - certainly a coup for the Ukrainians unless of course some soldier really did fill the chip pan above the max level line with oil
This is a huge propaganda coup for the Ukrainians. All Kremlin state TV was giving the brainwashed disciples every evening was how well the special operation was going. The loss of the biggest ship in the Russian fleet is an absolute hammer blow. No way can those liars cover this one up - the Ukrainians will be able to produce a ton of evidence tomorrow morning they were responsible for the sinking as well as intercepted Russia radio traffic etc.
Appears the Moskva has sunk. Naval experts are pointing out this is the biggest wartime loss of a ship since WW2 - the Moskva was bigger than the famous 'General Belgrano' which was sunk by the British during the Falklands War.
Anyone think there's life or death musical chairs going on in the Kremlin tonight as everyone tries not to be the one to tell the king of the orcs the good news.
Cant wait for a Ukraine fired Neptunes version of the Hitler getting bad news in the bunker scene.
I’d say there are a few recently promoted Russian generals reading that with trepidation, while looking skyward…..
I think it's a natural extension of what they're already doing. And a massive reason as to why Ukraine are still even in this war.
Putin must be seething and incandescent with rage at the amount of support the West are giving Ukraine.
"The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden significantly expands the intelligence that is transmitted to Ukraine.
U.S. intelligence will transfer expanded data to Ukraine so that the military can attack the occupiers' units in the uncontrolled part of Donbas and in the annexed Crimea.
This writes The Wall Street Journal with reference to senior officials of the Biden administration."
This is likely very significant.
Have you never seen a chip pan with wings before?
Damn those radar-guided chip pans.
The Taliban saw them off with less.
The Orcs seem to have a huge problem with their naval shipyards. Refits of ships to make them attractive to foreign buyers have been taking years and running way over budget, with the yard demanding billions more than the price agreed by the Russian government.
The smokey Admiral Kuznetsov has been out of commission since before the war started.
@Jinglejangle69 - So you’re delighted Ukrainians are fighting till the last man?
I said: "every last man and civilian will also do their bit"
There's a difference to what you're implying I said.
@Jinglejangle69 - But scared Putin might nuke the world if he’s loosing?
I said: "a response that will outrage the world"
I meant a mass chemical weapons attack. I didn't mention nukes, or nuking the world as you so wildly put it.
I suggest you read a post properly before typing asinine replies. That, or don't post after midnight.
Incidentally, my posts average approximately 5 "thanks" per post. Yours average approximately 0.5 "thanks" per post. That speaks volumes on how Boards users see my views, and your made up waffle.
I call an official announcement confirmation:
"Confirmed that the guided missile cruiser "Moscow" today went exactly where it was sent by our border guards on the island of Zmiiny!
Missiles "Neptune" which are on guard of the Black Sea caused the Russian ship very serious damage - Odessa Regional State Administration."

Well they're still lying through their teeth as per usual - trying to claim it had nothing to do with the Ukrainians and a chip pan caught fire or something.
Ah balls, it's definitely not been hit so.
The Kreminal:
During the course of the "Special Choice of Words Operation" our personnel and equipment may be wisely utilised in "Special Reincarnation Operations" and "Special Recycling Operations".
Ukrainian sources saying they fired two Neptune missiles at Moskva which had been hidden in Odesa.....a massive coup for them.
Who lives under a pineapple under the Black Sea .
SpongeBob Moskva
Notable that the Ukrainians said at least two or three hours ago they hit the Moskva with two missiles. How would they have known about an issue on board a Russian ship several hours ago if they were not responsible for it and had not caused it? My money is on the Moskva being hit by missiles alright.
Maybe the Scorpions can rush out a new version of Wind of Change to mark the occasion
Follow the Moskva
Down to the bottom of the Black Sea
would have to work on the scansion...
It's still in use today .
And being Russia tends to be a bit slower than others Nations to change over to better tech it's quite possible they still use it today
