Well, I think it's more likely than not now that NATO will attack Russian troops. Think there's hawks on this thread? Loads of US top brass itching to strike Russian troops. Its what they've been preparing for/working towards all their lives. They're jealous as fųck of the Ukrainians having all the fun.
US/NATO nuclear first strike might be on the cards now if Chemical weapons used. The conversation would be around.
1. How many of their missiles actually work?
2. Our missile defence system will take out most of what they get in the air.
3. We know where their subs are.
4. Some nuclear strikes hitting US/European soil would be acceptable losses.

You should wake up to Telegram and perhaps not be so dismissive. Official Ukrainian organisations, particularly their military, are using it heavily.
Around 2pm I quoted a telegram channel where it was stated that Donetsk separatists had called for the use of chemical weapons on Mariupol, and a few hours later it looks like that may have happened. News before it happpened via Telegram.

As has been pointed out already the state of the German armed forces is dire after nigh on 20 years of evisceration. They don't have decent equipment for themselves never mind anything to give to anyone else.
They have spent years chopping up "obsolete" cold war era armour which would be very useful today in Ukraine. They have not invested in new equipment, troops, maintenance or even replacement equipment for gear that was going out of date.
I am very sure that there are a few current and recently retired German politicians and senior federal staff that could easily be charged with treason.

Indeed. Just one or two of these may be enough to trigger the remaining defenders to surrender. Russia is very keen to take Mariupol, and they know "minor" chemical weapon use inside a city that no reporters can get to is definitely doable.

You've several on here thinking NATO should attack Russian troops. Do you think it impossible the US military don't think the same thing, but go a few chess moves ahead and launch. US troops fighting Russian troops near the Russian border is magnitudes greater than the Cuban Missile crises. Why wait for Russia to lauch first?
