On the other thread you told everyone that you only heat the house using turf so no surprise you want to continue. Time to get the heating fixed
You don't need retro fitting etc. Plenty of options available to heat a house which is sustainable. I would start with getting the insulation sorted first, pointless trying to heat anything when all the heat is going out the door.
The Minister responsible for food production is a FF TD.
What do you think is a sustainable way a life? because you know cutting up bogs to heat a house is not sustainable so they are doing exactly what you are asking them to do.
Ridiculous, the greens should be focused on food production and sustainable ways of life not banning the sale of turf. The green party must really have no ambitions for beyond this reign of govt.

I'm not going to get into this but let me educate you on Turbary Rights. A Tiny proportion of rural dwellers actually have Turbary rights.
The vast majority purchase their Turf from Those who actually have said Rights , these bogs, potentially suppy 100's of homes (mine is one of them)
If as is proposed, the Owner can continue to cut turf from themselves but will be prohibited from selling to me and 100's of others
Now, what do we do??
let's if we are lucky , put on our oil central heating systems (many don't even have a secondary heating system) , now with oil prices going the way they are , I will face perhaps 3 times cost in heating bills next year and of course continue to pollute burning oil and Eamonn perfectly happy with this. Those without secondary heating can plug in their electric heaters, and we know how that's going.
Don't get me started on retro fitting , even if I could afford it , it would be 3 years before an approved firms get to me .
So in essence Eamonn achieved two things today.

Quadrupled the price of Turf for this season for those already struggling.

Getting back to the original point, I don't see what dropping a tweet from an unknowns into a post should be seen as "proof" or a valid point. As we know Twitter is full of dodgy accounts. Boards has no control over those accounts or it could be just the same person on here linking to their own tweets....not saying that is the case of course......just raising the concern

Not at all, the commercial exploitation of the bogs has been stopped, while rural dwellers with turbary rights will still be able to cut turf and heat their houses the way they always did.

Well, if you believe that there are government supporters attempting to control the narrative through multiple accounts, report them, and let the mods deal with it. As I said, the only confirmed cases relate to opposition supporters, but if that's what you believe, get the mods to deal with it.
I have seen zero evidence of it happening from government supporters, and think you are just flying a flag to divert, but you may know something I don't.
How is that condescending? It implies that you do know what is meant by the question, so it is unlikely that you are confused by that, and asks if you are aware that it wouldn't apply so boards alone...
Not sure what the suggestion is supposed to be, but if I was to ask, I guess I shouldn't expect a reply, so there would be no point.

I asked why, if social media is such a cesspool, does Leo have so much faith in using and manipulating it? BTW, it wouldn't be limited to boards, there are a lot of social media platforms. The other question was if the people using the like of twitter/facebook/boards are in fact opposition supporters and they are trying to control the narrative what would that make, for example, the defenders of the current Government on here?

Wasn't there another two posters that used to do that? First one disappeared, and the last one was fairly active in the thread where yer wan from Fine Gael tried make a false insurance claim for not being able to sit on a swing properly, and possibly after that, but disappeared when it was pointed out that they did that.
Don't think so, they were both active for over a decade. What I am saying is that your fears of FG-bots have zero evidence to support them and any available evidence is on the other side.

I don't think anyone can complain about this measure. Untold damage is being done to peatlands by the cutting of turf. Limiting its exploitation to those who have turbary rights for their own usage is a good idea.
O I experienced something similar earlier on a completely un related thread and low and behold two friends (not) here. Not of course to discuss thread topic but to defend a certain Minister who doesn't like Turf , some astonishing comments, one in particularly, Petulant, childish and Glib

There was a pile-on from the usual suspects on that issue, with them calling for Leo's head etc. One of them tried to hide his blushes by quoting the use of "if true" at the start of his elongated rant. Comical stuff.
Neither of the confirmed sock-puppetteers on boards.ie were ever Leo supporters.

You don't write anything once. The only thing you repeat 10 times is "I have already explained, read back over the posts". Everybody is capable of reading back, and everybody has done so, and still nobody can find any of your answers. Even that post above was written to avoid answering my post.
The are Nothing posts. If you can't answer the questions stay silent. There is nothing to be gained by repeating "I have already replied, read back over"
Or here is a suggestion, just link to your previous answer, that way you wouldn't have to repeat anything, including one of your stock phrases.
