very true. That is the reality of war if you want to win you have to hack your enemy to pieces any way you can. it’s not pretty. Currently we are an unfriendly country towards Russia and politically opposed to them but not at war with them and unlikely to be so directly anyway. I think our intelligence services should be hyper vigilant of Russian citizens in this country who may be involved in espionage and helping the Russian war effort in any significant way. But as for rounding up every Russian citizen and deporting them that’s definitely not the answer and would be a massive waste of time. Intelligence led targeted deportations makes more sense. I doubt any of the numbskulls who were on the M50 are in that bracket.
The Putin price hike 🤣🤣
Nothing to do with shutting economies down for 2 years while printing trillions of dollars. Serious **** about to hit the fan
Seems to me that 21st century France, Germany, Austria etc don't have as much of a problem with Russia as you'd like to think they do and wish this whole episode was just over so they could get back to business with thim
Why don't you ask the survivors of Bucha what they think or the ones in Mariupol ?
To quote General William Tecumseh Sherman
"War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out."
And to quote Air Marshall Arthur Harris
"The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. At Rotterdam, London, Warsaw and half a hundred other places, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind."
So be it for the Russians.
If I or my family were Ukrainian I would quite happily wish every Russian dead at this stage.
Well May the 4th be with them. Not...
Spoken like a true keyboard warrior, safe in the assumption that neither you nor your family will ever like through a situation like the ones you're describing
Not what I'm hearing tonight, but what would I know. It's not a good situation there however they are far, very far, from beaten.
Yeah yeah yeah.
We keep hearing this and in the modern world all we ever hear are the lines ...
"It is not all ..."
"You can't label them all ...."
If this mindset was adopted in WW2, the Allies would never have attacked and bombed Germany because after all, all Germans weren't Nazis.
(BTW a huge fooking chunk of them were and it was only after their ar**es were handed to them that they suddenly knew nothing and did nothing)
When is enough enough?
If you take this mindset to the bitter conclusion then you wouldn't open fire on an enemy tank, on an enemy truck, on an enemy bunker, etc because after all some of the soldiers might not want to be fighting you.
If you are at war with a country, you are defacto at war with everyone and the sooner some people figure this little nugget out the sooner the better.
War is for keeps, you don't get a prize for coming second.
Last night I was watching very interesting documentary on Lincoln and how he quickly figured out how he needed to fight tough to beat the Southern States, unlike his worse than useless commander McClellan who actually forewarned Southern planters that he would be passing through and how he did not want to cause any unnecessary damage to the South. If it was up to him the North would have lost.
On the other hand Sherman knew how to deal with an enemy and bring them to their knees.
Its Stalingrad without the happy ending now. Those lads have defied some amount of odds.
Well i'm shocked I tell you shocked!
Talks with Putin left 'no optimistic impression', says Austrian chancellor
No **** Sherlock and you gave him a propaganda win today, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Putin fears strength no **** diplomatic solution here. If NATO arent going into Ukraine they should be arming Ukraine to the tee and they'd be a proxy for NATO instead
Weapons weapons weapons !
Using them to find mines on retreated land. And unfortunately probably finding the remains of people in rubble.
Putin: We can't trust the Irish, they will treat the Russians in Ireland badly after this comrade and master spy in the city of Clane was discovered. We must invade this land and free our brethren.
Lavrov: Commandant, we can trust the Irish
Putin: How, look at me Sergey, answer now
Lavrov: They will block all Russian friends on the Facebook and the Tweeter
Putin: Ahhhhhh.
Putin/Lavrov: (Roll around on floor holding each others bellies)
and that a man from the Communist system like Putin would be even worse again.
This is the 3rd time in a century that Russia have been butchering in the Ukraine. Hopefully it will not surpass the previous 2 for sheer scale of savagery.
That strategy was shown to be a big mistake and deeply unfair.
Any Putin supporters should be shunned of course though i.e. anyone in Ireland openly speaking up in favour of the regime and its atrocities should be given the cold shoulder, blocked on Facebook and Twitter etc.
Ah lads.
This is also sad. Their whole future altered.
That SPB motors website was hacked to show Russian military losses in Ukraine. Brilliant.
How do you round them up? They are protected here. I was trying to look for car reg numbers to see if any of the clowns I know could be spotted there but news outlets have doctored out all number plates from the footage.
Round them up, drop them off in middle of Ukraine and let them walk home.
I never said government is owed the debt i said the US government is blocking the debt being repaid.
There's a follow up video (not for the faint hearted and you can see most of them (what's left) have Ukrainian flags and blue tape
handheld and mobile
May 9th - Victory day
May 4th - Bankruptcy day
Sniffer dog :)
Strictly speaking Russia has not defaulted yet, this is what's known as a selective default, they actually have until May 4th to default as there is a 30 day grace period.
Russian speaking! If I was a German I would be a bit concerned. Is this not one of the strategies that Putin used to to justify the invasion of Donbas?
In simple terms
Russia has a debt to be paid in Dollars
Russia has the dollars in a USA bank but the US government won't allow them to use those funds to pay the debt
So Russia offers to pay the debt in another currency because they are not allowed to pay the debt in dollars by the US government.
But the US government wont allow that because it insists the debt is paid in dollars.
Problem is that most of these so called 'ura-patriots' are actually not from Russia but most likely russian ethnic from Baltic states and Moldova (on Romanian passports) so legally here in with a shiny EU passport in their pockets. These clowns are usually low educated crowd that only watch Kremlin media and stink everywhere they stay. Showinism and a big red chip on their sholders is a part of their DNS unfortunately. But they would not relocate back to Russia even if you purchased them a first class ticket. It is nicer to be a patriot from outside Russia. 🤑
Apparently they are Russian troops but are portrayed as Ukrainian by Russian media. They have no armbands.https://twitter.com/CanadianUkrain1/status/1513423984460800005?s=20&t=fAvHj2OL8SRdHC7qdDHpEA
Ireland's not at war with Russia, so interning Russian citizens sounds a bit drastic at this stage. All I can say is that I think Russians supporting the war in Ukraine should be shunned and excluded in every way it legally possible to shun and exclude someone.
But if the war escalates to where it's Western countries directly involved, I would revise the above to more sweeping measures against Russian nationals.
Even the Russians who openly condemn the war, like those who protest on the streets of Russia and get arrested perhaps, or those Russians who speak out in fear against their Government?
When we start painting all Russians with the same brush we become as bad as, eh the Russians...
....that does come out wrong, rather, we become as bad as Putin - the Kremlin, the Duma, whoever it is that follows and supports his nasty ways.
