The world should have reacted allready in 2008 when Putin invaded Georgia
Instead Merkel and EU decided to help finance the war criminal by buying oil and gas.
And the same thing is happening in China, and we sit and watch because rich people are making more money.
And Germanys economy is depending on both Russian oil and gas and production in China.
Talk about ticking bomb
BBC at least is doing proper investigation.
Yesterday I forced myself and watched the longer video.
I still have doubts about this video. These soldiers could have been killed by the explosion from near vehicles, the first one burning is only 25 meters away. There were debris laying around. Also why their boots would be lying few meters from them in a random order?
In my opinion it is a real setting used to shot the fake video.
If these soldiers where ambushed and killed on the spot, so why would anyone bother to tie one of them hands behind. It doesn't make sense. But it makes sense, if you want to send a message that they were prisoners, not soldiers killed in a fight.
Also this still alive soldier has his head hidden in his jumper. If they were fake shots, so this kind of protection against blank bullets, would make sense. And also after 4 shots, no more blood appeared from his head (from under this jumper). Weird. So I have serious doubts about this video.
That's my 2 cents about this particular video.
Some real sh**holes.
Surprising how many abstained.
Singapore, what the hell?
Why not set up artillery in an open field so everyone can see you
True but Ukraine is a very flat/open country, a lot of it is like this
Russians would have a much harder time if it was mountainous
The russian people know full well the horrors of war, and the fact that they are willing to inflict those horrors on a nation that has done them no harm, they deserve no mercy what so ever and they deserve any and all atrocities that are being done and will be done after the war, if there are attacks on russian soil its all well earned and they dont deserve any sympathy, passiveness is permission in this case and the russian people are very passive towards this war.
Ehh the problem is most of Ukraine is open.
There is something called camo and forrests
Anyone watching this?
Dmitry Peskov V Mark Austin
Peskov is literally lying through his teeth live on TV
Mark Austin is getting a fair amount in there -
But its a difficult watch
Mariupol looking closer and closer to collapse each day. Can't hold on much longer.
It's a real "who's who" of corruption, violence and squalor.
Europe just needs more regassification plants - and probably more ships to handle the much longer distances ..
Just ... Same with the coal shipments - more ships required -
Might affect us here if we're keeping moneypoint open a wee bit longer,
I am aware of that but i havent seen one camoflaged artillery or SAM position yet in the russian army.
Russian federation Rwanda ..
Have we missed something?
Watched the first 5mins but when he started denying Bucha and said the atrocities were caused by Ukraine soldiers I switched off.
Surely the media must know by now these interviews are a total waste of time.
The Russians are just lying scum with no limits.
Yes, I've watched it all. He's giving us all the usual Kremlin propaganda.....eight years of oppression in the Donbass, Russian troops don't target civilians, images of atrocities are faked etc.
Australian governement should send them a terse please explain.
Singapore doesn't have enough territory to train it's military and so for decades they have been very generously accommodated by Australia so they get to do most of their training in Oz and use it's excellent military facilities.
Reread that sentence again 🤣
I suppose , it could be a case of don't get in a pissing contest with idiots -
You'll only give them airtime when they refute your criticisms
Well China voting against is a pretty negative development and represents a hardening of their position. They've abstained up to now in the other votes to try to play both sides.
Pleasantly surprised to see Hungary vote for it. Now that the election is over I figured they might be more willing to do Putin's bidding.
@TheTruth89
The russian people know full well the horrors of war
No, they don't. The last time Russia was invaded was 80 years ago, meaning most people in Russia today would be unable to truly appreciate the horror because they were not there. It seems to be a cycle with war that those who fight one are not so keen to repeat the experience, but the generations after are raised on stories of glory and heroism and a thirst to emulate their forefathers, which gives rise to a renewed desire for war. Russia's at the end of that jingoistic cycle, and it's exacerbated by a locked down media and the need of a tyrant to distract his public from domestic problems. What I think this leads to is a populous who, by and large, will be unable to see the subjugation of Ukraine as anything other than a worthwhile pursuit.
When is Russia going to reopen its visa application for Clare Daly/Mick Wallace to be reunited with other Russians speakers?
Yeah turned it off before i fired something at the tv :)
Hungary have only stepped out of line in terms of energy sanctions and on the military supplies, otherwise much the same position as most other countries and they back EU sanctions.
Russia's foreign policy and even more, its domestic policy, is to destroy the very concept of truth. They do this by obfuscating and confusing things so much that people no longer know what to think and truth does not become a factor in any calculation or assessment. They then concoct an alternative truth and an alternative reality and force feed it to the people until they believe it.
Well they are feeding the alternative narrative to those who are willing to consume it - and sadly, there are so many willing punters - we have seen a few in this thread - it was a disgusting interview - a real 'Post Truth' epic -
It looks like a formatting issue, where "RUSSIA FED... RWANDA" broke onto two lines, but in actuality, each country is listed on a single line, and Rwanda didn't vote.
So Green is in favour, Red is against, and Yellow is abstain. To "abstain" you actually cast your vote to say you're abstaining.
The countries with no icon beside their name, like Rwanda, are "non-voting". It's different to abstaining, in that it's done by just not voting at all, rather than voting to abstain.
