Somebody who corrected the record when he knew he was wrong? I have the greatest of respect for people who are able to do that mark...not those who insist they were right and who keep digging.
Great to see the government moving quickly to copperfasten the gains for workers during the pandemic. Being able to work from home has been a huge boon to many public sector workers. Helps with climate change and sustainable transport as well for a real bonus.
WFH is the future but jury is out on the environmental impact.
Will working from home help the environment? (sciencefocus.com)
but he didn’t , he denied it for months and kept running around and not telling the truth. It was only because the HSE kept following him he finally admitted his lies.
What about his lies about Nazi flags At pro Ukraine events?
What about his journalist mate with multiple accounts on Twitter and see below
😂
I’m sure you must have spent a lot of time trying to find that “article” to complain about WFH. but honestly who in their right mind thinks WFH isn’t good for the environment?
You seem more fixated than I am. I don't follow his account. You presented his statement on here, what he said is largely true.
Simple as that.
Quelle surprise.
Accountability 🤣🤦♂️👍
Accountability which FF and FG have never had any.
The 'attack dogs' are the journalists and fans who are so comfy they don't need to be part of a conspiracy, they are just looking to survive, hence they are attack dogs.
Very easy point to make and Cosgrove wouldn't be the first to make it.
Jesus you are a pest. I said WFH is the future and I also said the jury was still out. It was a very quick google to find a link and it has been discussed/debated on the TV/Radio many times. It was an informational response with stuff I had learned when listening to balanced discussions. Google it yourself and learning something. Blanch wasn't upset by my response. We understand that nothing is ever black and white.
If you go into the Covid WFH thread you will see that I am a massive supporter of WFH. I see so so so many advantages to it. Actually don't bother. I don't care.
He only corrected the record when called out on it by the HSE and when the spotlight was getting a little hot.
You two seem to have a lot in common actually, which is why you use him to have a go at the government isn't a surprise.
Yes I know he did and fair play to anyone who is big enough to say they were wrong.
If brokenarrow objects to what he says about other stuff, he really should not be posting stuff he says. I would not have seen it only BA posted it.
This isn’t the covid thread and I am not sure what relevance Blanch has?
Calling people names because they challenge what you shared.
Also my post was a question
😁😁 The best satire always contains a grain of the truth.
Apart from the environmental implications, I personally feel that long term WFH is a bad idea from a mental health perspective. As a fairly newly retired person, what I miss the most is the interaction and camaraderie of my former colleagues.
Most are offering hybrid, it also a case of having the ability to still meet up, like we have arranged a group of us just to meet up next Wednesday in City….told management it is training and booked the afternoon as busy
A well established trend now.
SUNDAY INDEPENDENT/IRELAND THINKS POLL
Sinn Féin 33% (+2)
Fine Gael 22% (+1)
Fianna Fáil 18 (-2)
Labour 4% (+1)
SocDems 6% (NC)
Greens 3% (-1)
Sol-PBP 2% (-2)
Aontú 3% (+1)
Independents/Others 10% (+1)
SF were on 33% in the last Red C poll, so no change then.
That's what 'a well established trend' means Maryanne. 😉
You beat me to sharing this "Continuing" good news 😁
Interesting discussion on Saturday with Katie Hannon on Governments Housing Policy. In response, Peter Mc Verry interviewed and in one sentence, he pretty much summed up the promises "Not a Hope in Hell", hapless Sean Fleming (the chap who recommends we shop around and supposedly tackling the charlatan insurance sector 🙄) seemed, almost to agree 😉
I suppose being stagnant is a well established trend.
Government parties are more or less stagnant alright. FG only one with a +1. The opposition will be happy to have added 2 points
It just confirms SF will need a coalition, what do the supporters do, start slagging off the other parties. Really you couldn't make it up.
At least they haven't said they would never coalesce with 'x' and then unashamedly turn around and do just that or say putting another party in would be the equivalent of bringing John Delaney back into the FAI.
Problem for the coalition parties next time out, nobody will believe a word they say.
No. They just sat back and let others take on the running of the country.
Thank goodness for politicians willing to step up to the plate.
You know that is a fabrication but have at it. I can't be bothered.
I see you also sidestepped them lying to the people, do you think FG and FF will get away with that again?
Do you think SF will come out before the next election in 2025 to say that they will be happy to go into government with either FF or FG? If not they will be lying as there is no other route at present based on the poll numbers you posted.
We don't live in a country with FPTP voting (thankfully). Voters know that deals will have to be done to create a stable government just like what happened in 2020.
They said last time out they would talk to anyone, I guess they will say the same again.
Yes I agree about FPTP and government formation, do you think FG and FF will get away with lying again?
Do you still think they would talk to anyone? They didn't the last time.
I’ve been around long enough to know that deals have to be made. Coalitions formed for the better of the country. Sinn Fein had the chance but did not use it. Left it to FF, FG an the Greens.
Part of me would love for SF to form a government. But….. I don’t want my children to suffering from SFs loony policies. I’m ok. I’m retired now and can live comfortably on my pension. I’ve no loans. Owe nobody a cent. All through careful budgeting and living within my means for decades. I’ve never fallen for the mythical money tree.
Still no answer to the question. Okie doke.
