AFAIK, it's special leave with pay for up to 10 calendar days at present.
All details are here: https://www.gov.ie/en/news/092fff-update-on-working-arrangements-and-leave-associated-with-covid-19-fo/
So have you been offered a position, and just waiting on Vetting?
I am on Longford panel. Does anyone know if there is any movement?
Thank you for that.
Sorry I was sure I replied when you first asked, but I don't see it.
About 3/4 weeks ago longford had called 33 for interview.
Hey guys does anyone know what OOM Dublin is at for interview?
Donegal is still at no.6 OOM in case people are wondering
Yes I'm in Batch 1 myself waiting for clearance 🤞for some news soon, very best of luck 😀
Sorry for all the questions. I am starting training in the Revenue Office in Cork soon. Are you atomatically put on the phones or front desk to start out? Can you work from home if you are put in the call center section? Can you use flexi hours at all if you are on calls or the front desk? Thank you.
Anyone on the kerry panel, they have now reached number 32, it seems to be taking forever lol
Funny thing, just got an expression of interest for longford today, I'm 91 in oom.
Guys how long after expression of interest were ye called for interview?
Was 4 days for me. Location was Dublin
Any update on the current Galway and limerick panels called to interview?
Hi @Cat1212 looks like they’ve been stuck on 32 for a while I emailed them nearly two weeks ago and that was the number then. It sure is taking forever. A very slow process indeed. (Also sorry about the random unicorn sticker thing I can’t delete it lol)
Waterford update - sent off my areas in county I'm interested in working on on 04/03 and received an email last night with provisional start date and vetting/ references etc.
So exactly a month after my interview. Mid 30s oom and batch 2.
Good Luck with your Interview. Let us know how it goes 🤞
Hi Maglz, lol your grand. There sick of me, I've been emailing them every two weeks for an update. I'm 46 and I feel my number will never be reached.
It used to be you'd be put on the calls in PAYE once training was finished but I started in 2019 & none of my group were assigned there-we were split up into different departments. I don't know how they're working it now as it's all changed since Covid & they're only now sorting out about the blended working etc .You'll be training for a few months anyway once you start there so you can ask your questions then.
Thanks very much Blondie 🙂
@Cat1212 I know. I’d say they have me black listed at this stage for sending emails asking what OOM are they at lol. Wow, well done you. Hopefully they’ll get to you soon 🤞🤞 I’m in the 100s, so I doubt they’ll get to me at all. But look stranger things have happened. The waiting game is a pain.
Hi All,
Anyone know if there has been any movement on the Offaly panel...last I heard it was at 42 or something like that
Thanks and good luck to everyone waiting.
Does anyone know what the work would be like? I made another panel and started a few months ago but it's 90 per cent filing and archiving. As a result there's been talk of no remote working in the near future. I have 3 kids and feel the flexibility won't be there aside from the sheer boredom. There is no talk of further hires either.
I'm in Dublin and my oom is coming up so will likely hear soon from this one.
Has anyone been offered a position in Co. Meath, Louth or Galway? Thanks
Tipp still at 20 for anyone else wondering.
Madness, we have 3 vacancies in our office and no sign of filling them.
What department are you? Dublin is in 500s or beyond now I believe
I know a few in d 300s seem to be placed and started an all in departments so things seem to be moving thats including myself 😀
Without giving too much away 🧐it's an off-shoot of one the bigger depts. The teams are small, as the dept is small, which doesn't help 😒
Does anyone know how many places are left in Dublin? My girlfriend passed her interview. Found out yesterday.
She is placed in the 700s in the OOM
Thanks
All positions last year were filled from the panel, so I’d say it would be the same this time around. They don’t have an exact quota to fill to I believe but given the full panel was reached last year and there is more positions this year I’d say it’s looking good
Hi
Thanks for all the info on this it's very helpful.
I wondered can any answer my question I'm considering taking this role to reduce my dealings with the public although that probably sounds terrible after all the answers i gave in the interview 😅 but after doing it for 13 years I've had enough. Would all positions have an element of dealing with the public? What's the departments to avoid?
Taking a big paycut for this so hope to get it right. I'm on the dublin panel.
Thanks.
