He still has his toy I suppose. I was watching these super yachts being seized and wondering why they weren't moving them asap.
People are worrying about nukes that won't be launched, while appeasement of putrid is the much larger danger. If he comes out of this with any kind of win he will use his military again in a few years. This has happened again and again, Chechnya, Georgia, Crimea, Donbas, Syria, Ukraine. The world needs him to lose this war, not have a draw, or any excuse to claim a win at all, but a clear loss. He'll be deposed, but only if he loses.
C***s is all the Russians are. If ever there was a race of spineless sheeple, it's them.
Ah there's good Russian people too. It's just the authoritarian way they've allowed themselves be governed has resulted in this.
Hard to believe there's no spite involved though when you see the above.
Never waste a crisis.

I doubt the Russians will try there luck with the Japs
I doubt the Japanese will invade, but the change in diplomatic language is interesting. I'd expect we'll see more of this globally with various countries "national interests". Maybe we'll invade Rockall.
Following defeat in WW2, Japan adopted a passive constitution whereby they cannot instigate a conflict but can defend themselves in the event of an attack.
I'd say they will, and they'd be right to. What's more is if they do then I'd say China will think they'd like to take a chunk of Russia too.
Japan appears to be slowly changing it's views on defense. One example is their "helicopter destroyers", or thinly veiled aircraft carriers if we consider aircraft like the F35.
Wouldn't you change your tune too with missiles flying by you and Rocket Man for a neighbor.
Can't help but laugh, the world is a small place.

Well, myself and herself had a lively conversation about Ukraine the last night. We decided I'm not, in fact, a pacifist. I always think of that line about turning the other cheek, in this world, imo, that get's you two sore cheeks, at best. Speak softly, carry a big stick.
Japan is in a tough neighbourhood, complex relations with South Korea, then China & russia nearby. North Korea, I dunno, where's the profit in war for dear chubby leader. Characters like these value holding on to power more than anything, war is dangerous for them too. It's like putrid and his nukes, where's the profit in using them, maybe use a small one, maybe, but pushing the red button invites a situation he can't control.
Profits don't come into it with these guys. They have more money than any of us could dream of, they have power but they need another 'kick' and that's a place in the history books. A place in the history books is very dangerous and usually means war on a large scale.
Not profit in money terms. Unleashing forces beyond their control is dangerous for them. Like this debacle in Ukraine, which isn't at all what putrid expected to happen. This wasn't the plan, but he brought it upon himself with his mafia state. If he had foreseen this, I don't believe for a second he'd have ordered his troops across the border. It's an unstable situation for his regime, he's used to bullying much smaller nations and has bitten off more than he can chew. Same for Rocket Man, the No.1 job is preserving the power he has now. Unleashing war brings to life the real prospect of the end of the regime in North Korea as we know it. No profit in unpredictable scenario's.

Great to hear your not a pacifist.
When are you heading over to help defend Kiev?? Or are you already there?
Because if not your going over to help out, or over there already, you are a pacifist
If you do want a war, but you want someone else to do the fighting, there is a different term to identify that ideology.
War will not end war.
What strange views.
Stop equating "wanting war" with supporting people defending themselves and their families and homes from invasion. I fully support the Ukrainians, and I hope they manage to defend their country or get a peace deal which solves this. Holding those views doesn't mean I have to "qualify" them by booking a flight to Kyiv or shooting at Russian soldiers.
I said it here a month ago. The Ukrainian government should have gone to Poland. Let Russia stick in some old cronies. Start an uprising knock them the cronies out. And have an election and put old government back in. Ok it will take maybe ten years. Instead they have the shittt knocked out of there country, millions of refugees and will probably have to succeed territory to Russia in order to get a peace deal and sign some neutrality treaty.
Outstanding documentary on RTE 1 after Prime Time 'Putin's Road to War'.
In passing shows up Trump as a Class A idiotic poltroon.
Isn't that what they done previously and has ended up with a democratic sovereign nation and Zelenskyy as their president. Why would ya want to walk away after already getting what you wanted previously, only to come back in future to try get what you already have?
Meanwhile, another dose of liberation arrives in russia

Looking for trouble there
If it didn't explode when dropped there's something wrong with the firing mechanism. It would do some damage to the harvester later in the year
Good old Russian tech

That's a financial conspiracy blog.
That aside, Ukraine's economy, within the Russian sphere, has been bad and stagnant (for obvious reasons). Which is why it has applied to join the EU. Also Russia has been waging hybrid warfare against the country for 8 years. If/when/how this conflict ends, it will take Ukraine many years to rebuild.
Regardless of all this, I would expect the country to be accepted into the EU.
Ah that's only one Russian missile.
I'll have a good field of Ragwort ready for pulling in about 6 weeks time. I'd say that might defeat him
I'd say they would get fast tracked into the EU, Euro along with imf controls and International grant aids 10 years could see the place transformed again.
They can repay any debts occurred with future gas supplies if they can get the Russians out of the East/Crimea and a exxon/shell into develop the infrastructure but of course, Putin and his crew would have to be out of the picture for the above to take place
