So ive been having a concern with the heat the power supply generates as its currently sat inside a wooden cabinet, I probably can move it so its out of the cabinet but it will still be sat on top of it. Has anyone come up with solutions for this? Im considering buying some heat sinks to stick on it.
Move it to a location (maybe propped up) to allow free airflow around it should be enough
Mine is lying flat on the ground on a carpet, which is on a solid concrete floor. I just checked it there and while the power supply is slightly warm, I wouldn't think it is in anyway dangerous.
Just so Starlink users know, the geo issue with TuneIn has now been resolved, so it works OK again.
Buffering issue on Facebook and Instagram also looks to be fixed since a few weeks back.
Yeah, my friend also signed up for Starlink.
Been using Starlink for just over six months now and I am mostly satisfied but I am a little bit annoyed over that price increase I must say.
Just checked there to order and see what it said.
works out at 709€ delivered and still at the 99€ per month by the looks of it . But is that to go up even tho the delivery has already?
Is that monthly price increase for new customers only? I haven't received any notification yet. My hope was that those monthly prices would drop slightly in time. Inflation doesnt warrant an 11% increase. No one is going to see an 11% salary increase thats for sure.
As big an improvement Starlink has been for me gone from DSL speeds of (10Mb down/1.5Mb up) to (200Mb+ / 30Mb Down), 99 euro a month is already extortionate. Its still mad to think there are advocates on here and in Irish media saying Starlink is a better option the Fibre too.
I honestly cannot wait for the day FTTH is available to me. More than 50% cheaper and overall a far better service. 2026 with the NBI though.
I haven't received any notification email from Starlink yet that the monthly charge is increasing.
Yeah. I've not heard anything from Starlink yet on an increase.
According to this tweet, while the supply of it has gone up considerably, the monthly seems to have only increased by €1 ... although that may be a typo and it should be €110. 😥

I think it’s still 99€. That’s what it said on the website today when I checked
I'm due to get my next invoice in a few days. I'll let ye know then.
My bother got starlink back in January. Speeds where great all was well then the router/receiver kept disconnecting only for about .02 of a second but the problem was the tvs and everything else needed to be manually reconnected to the WiFi. This happened 7/8 times a day, starlink did send him a new router for free still same in the end he canceled the contract.
Seems a bit mad to replace the provider if the router is the issue? Did he try using a different non-starlink router? I've never used the starlink one and think I've only had one outage of a couple of hours since I got it in October.
I don’t think so. He has switch to a 4g provider and since the house was wired for starlink the current system works perfectly.
he used it for business and the issue where intolerable, a thing either works or doesn’t I suppose.
I don't use the Starlink Wi-Fi, instead having it wired into my pfSense and then using my own WLAN. But I have to wonder does your brother have other problems if such brief outages are causing everything to disconnect.
I do occasionally look at the stats on my Starlink app and might see a number of 2-4 second outages for network issues, signal loss, etc. but nothing that I had noticed. I certainly have never needed to reconnect anything after these outages.
I don’t think so the 4g system, wired through the what was originally setup for starlink has no issues
I think the biggest problem he had was wife a child constantly ringing him saying WiFi is down. 🤷♂️
LOL the idea that they can rival a company thats already launching its own satellites is hilarious. Also Ganleys a douche.
SpaceX has released a searchable map showing #Starlink availability. Indicates service is immediately available throughout Ireland and most Western Europe except Scandinavia.

Got my invoice ... still €99 and no mention of any price increase on it.
I presume you are in a contract with them. If so, they can't increase the price for you
There are no Starlink contracts
Starlink does not require a contract. Service is billed on a month to month basis and you can cancel at any time if you decide the service is not a good fit for you. Once your subscription is cancelled, your service will remain active until the end of the payment period.

According to Starlink.sx, Ireland has recently secured a second Starlink ground station near Ballinspittle and close to the landing point of GTT's NA/UK trunk cable's Irish spur. The domes for this were photographed some months back. I dont know if any other users have noticed the expansion of their antenna's coverage area as per the Starlink app's visibility. Instead of showing a south facing semicircle, mine now also indicates considerable additional coverage towards the north. Given that my antenna's direction and slope haven't changed, I wonder whether the additional coverage is linked to the new station which has nine domes as compared with only four domes in the NSC at Elfordstown - the timing of the two developments isn't likely to be just coincidental
.
Yeah noticed this myself recently. Range has expanded north behind the dish. Angle of the dish hasn't changed from what I've seen and still points south. Previously was just the semi circle.
I never took a screenshot of my original coverage, but this seems like more coverage than before. That spur to the north is a gap between two trees. Dishy still inclined to the south.
I'd say 8 domes instead of 9. Look at the first dome on the lorry. 😱
That image nearly year old, even if it was damaged to extent that could not be used, it would be replaced by now
