From the photo in the tweet it looks like the Russians are just trying to break up the straight outlines of the vehicles from above so it is harder for drone operators to spot them when they are parked up.
Most people really don't care. They're more interested in world cup qualifiers and summer holidays and property prices, 3 or 4 weeks ago in every park and pub everyone was talking about Ukraine, that's already been replaced by stuff like the Oscars slap.

Let's play this out. Zelensky authorises bombing of Russian cities.
The least damaging thing to happen Ukraine would be Western countries pulling their support and Russia rather quickly takes over Ukraine.
Worst case, quite likely imo, Putin carpet bombs large parts of Ukraine, killing millions, and that's purely conventional weapons. Everybody will shrug, and go 'what else would you expect from nasty Putin'.
Matching psycho tactics with Putin is only going to lead to devastating losses for Ukraine.

I think there is a huge element of being at cross purposes. The only mines I was referring to are the Medallion mines pictured above, which are delivered via MLR systems from up to 15km away and which sit well proud of the surface. And when I said shoot, I meant from a distance - because those wretched things are apparently triggered merely from the vibrations of a person walking nearby, so what's more stupid and dangerous - what I suggested while they should still be clearly visible from a distance or waiting for the grass to grow up around them and they are invisible?

So..... In order to avoid devastating consequences on Russian civilians, we should just accept the devastation among the Ukrainian civilians. The simple fact here is, putin is going to slowly grind Ukraine into dust. The west will just plod along throwing out the usual hollow bullshit, and in 6 months all will be back to normal.

I don't see Ukraine losing this. Morale is low. Russia cannot fix damaged or make new vehicles on any material numbers. They are being severely damaged.

With that in mind, **** them - not one bit of lifting of sanctions until Putin is gone and there is a few years of dialogue with a new more trustworthy administration.
