You can get USB leads that are reversed which solves that problem.
I have this mount https://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Tek-Out-Front-Handlebar-NiteRider/dp/B07GBS3QMM?pd_rd_w=761EV&pf_rd_p=2413a0c9-b5ac-4bbb-8668-2c9b55be2797&pf_rd_r=XD101JY0M2AQMJSDE5S3&pd_rd_r=0a99ddfa-0016-4ad5-bf03-6939572f2816&pd_rd_wg=LRXHU&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_csi_pb_allspark_BIA_0_t
With this added to the lower part https://www.altitude.ie/components/finishing-kit/bontrager-blendr-universal-ion-mount-stem-in-black__9309
and fitted with this light https://www.altitude.ie/accessories/lights/bontrager-ion-200-rt-usb-rechargeable-cycling-front-light-in-black__4982
it's a really tidy solution . I think lots of other lights will also fit the lower mount also (goPro type mount)
I think you may have had that setup shown on another thread, because I had those parts and that light bookmarked for a good while. I think your posts probably gave me the idea in the first place
The light itself seems to be a "be seen" light, and while I don't have much call for a light in general, when I do, I tend to need a "see with" light
Yeah I use it all the time in flash mode as a "be seen" all year round but it is pretty bright as well as a "see with" light if you were stuck. But there are a good few other lights that will fit that Garmin under mount with the GoPro style fitting.
Picked up four cans of GT85 for a mere €7.96. I had hoped to get some cheap sunglasses but none were sent to Leixlio (just helmets, GT85 and some muc-off stuff)
Dunno how far into South Kildare you venture, Seth, but Aldi in Kildare town have loads of sunglasses. No GT85, though...
zero gt85 in my local aldi
I stocked up on muc off though
They never seemed to be listed in the app, only the leaflet. Hoping to get to my local store tonight, and that was on the list.
Only the gear listed on the website is all that came in to Ashbourne!
crap, meant to get some stuff yesterday, better get there asap
I absolutely love the special buys that aldi and lidl have to offfer!
It would seem most stuff didn't arrive??
Well not even the Muc Off lubes in Rathnew last night - just the degreaser and clean and shine. Lots of GT85 and some helmets and jackets.
Wexford has nothing but the Muc Off stuff.
Greystones yesterday evening - GT85, Muc-Off degreaser and cleaner, rechargeable lights, helmets, rain jackets, toolkits, storage bottles - all in stock.
Four cans? Are you huffing it? 😀
Chain cleaning & other cleansing jobs.
But it does smell damn good!
It smells of strawberries and lonely nights in the garage.
I think aldi and lidl cycling gear is ok. However, with decathlon here now, you can get better bike gear for cheaper so its taken the shine off it a bit 🙄
if you're talking about the clothes, the Lidl and Aldi stuff is shite IMO, it was fine for getting started with 10 years ago but as you say, Decathlon is now as cheap & better.
Their lights and other stuff are ok (except pumps, which are also crap), you can never have too many lights!
I wouldn't say they get the range of clothing they used to get 5-10 years ago. I still use a winter jacket occasionally I got in one of them, and picked up some of the Lidl "pro" stuff a couple of years ago (when it was reduced) for the tween who was interested in cycling at the time, and it seemed ok quality. I think they've dropped the range and regularity as Internet Shopping has picked up, but as a middle isle watcher, I'd say that's across all items not just cycling, and especially clothing.
Only went in last night, but Tramore has a few work stands in, as well as Muc-Off stuff (no dry lube left though), and glasses. Stocked up on degreaser as I was out of spray ones
Would that degreaser be any good on a BBQ?
You’d need a lot of ketchup to make it taste decent, no matter how you cook it.
I usually buy my degreaser in Mr. Price.
Its called Elbow Grease, it's 1.50 for about 2 litres, and it works perfectly.
You don't alway have to buy Bicycle Brand® stuff for your bike.
It'll clean BBQ's too...
It's 1.50 for the spray bottle, does it come by the gallon too???
😂😂😂😂
That should have said 2 litres, no idea why it says 8.
I will amend
it's quite powerful too. to the point where i reuse it, i don't bin the 'used' stuff.
they had it in aldi at one point too. i don't know if the spray bottle is as powerful as what comes in the 'normal' bottle though.
Spray bottle is solvent free if I recall so maybe not as much bang for your buck but it makes short work of the cooker.
Did anyone see if they had the rear light/camera or the front light/phone mount.
Or did I miss them?
