We need to spend a significant amount of time working on cross border projects before we even think about a United Ireland. This work has already started by the current government. Only working together like that will mend bridges and make sure everyone in Ireland, North and South. Wants a United Ireland.
This is just another example of the work that needs to be done, thankful we have parties in Rep who are willing to put the work in.

The only outrage I remember was about Leo doing a favour for Simon and intervening to ensure he kept his 'state car' (nothing to do with security more to do with a perk of office) he wasn't entitled to under the policy brought in by FG themselves.

Clearly they have to do something to arrest it and god knows they have tried. Martin continues to surprise, keeping himself out of trouble and performing well. Will a leadership change be enough in FG or is the electorate tired of them?
Varadkar is a disaster. Getting rid of him would reverse some of the damage but they are out of touch with middle class ireland and the same can be said for ff.
One thing is definite, he has been some gift to the rehabilitation of FF and Martin

As I said if we have an election tomorrow we will end up with a FF/FG/Greens government and rightly so. Leave the opposition doing what they do best
Oh give me a break. Please. That stunt by a few UVF gimps does not validate the Garda driver expense for senior ministers in Ireland at all times. Give them a Garda driver when they go to NI, a foreign country, and problem is solved. Crony Coveney has no problem wasting taxpayer money. It costs 2.5m a year I believe, great that our national debt is reducing so fast too.
I'd rather the Garda spend their time on the streets of Dublin or investigating criminals or finishing those Council investigations that are supposedly 'stalled' with them.

You don't understand the Irish electoral system at all. There is Zero chance a FF/FG/Green government would be returned in an election tomorrrow. Zero.

If party strategists are stupid enough to be seen depending on a repeat of the current coalition then FG could be heading for Labour party figures.

I can only assume that you do not want local government reform despite what we know. It suggests that you condone the fraud, corruption, waste of public money, mismanagement, and lack of oversight and accountability.
That FF support is still holding up. I know we are still some way off an election, but I reckon they are more than happy with that. It's enough probably to give them confidence they could be part of a future government. Personally, I wouldn't go anywhere near them but it seems many either have very short memories or are comfortable with their performance.
SF seems to have plateaued now at around this figure. Hard to see this reducing much unless the media finds anything new to bait them with, such as a scandal. Would have to be a new scandal. We're all a bit weary about what went on in 1993 or whatever. I have no doubt some elements of our wonderful media are regularly trying to find an angle. Even if they can't we will still see the Indo and the IT's Stephen Collins given monthly rein to keep the digs in. No doubt that will increase as we get closer to an election. More and more effective performances in the Dail from SF, particularly from outside their top 3/4 representatives will be to their benefit.
There's nothing more Pleasurable than the Sun shinning, Clocks going forward, Garden coming to life, Grand stretch to the day and of course, another Dreadful Red C /Sunday Business Post Poll for FG 😏
