Aviation Interest.
Right now, off Moldova, there is the rare sight of 1 x Kc135 tanker, 1 x NATO E3-Sentry with its prominent radar disc and an RC-135w Rivet Joint, all in close proximity to each other.
The E3 looks to be positioning itself behind the tanker to refuel. I'll post an aircraft view of the encounter if it comes to pass.

This is what the view from the observer window at the refueling station on the KC-135 will look like. The boom is "flown", or steered using the small wings on the boom. The receptacle on the E3 is on top and behind the cockpit of the E3 and a series of red, yellow and green lights guide the pilot flying into the boom, as it is out of sight.

Also. This British Airways flight is taking a massive risk flying over Crimea at the moment. Its right over Sevestopol at 30 000ft. What's going on here, I wonder? It might be that it's actually further south, but that the ADS-B is being jammed in the area to give a false return.

Thanks buddy. I like giving folks an idea of what goes on in certain sectors of aviation that is normally out of the public eye.
On the subject of Jamming:
As I've mentioned in earlier posts, those of us interested in OSINT, or Open Source Intelligence, get our information from sources available to the general public. These can be anything from Facebook posts of people in or near areas of conflict, Google earth combined with Google Street View to triangulate or confirm the location of images, or freely available weather satellite images from various satellites.
One of these is the Sentinel 1 Satellite. This is a radar-imaging Satellite that is used to measure cloud density or even wave height at sea. It can also spot vessels out at sea, which appear as grey smudges. This is how the community was able to track the Russian amphibious fleet down the coast of Portugal just before the war.
The radar is susceptible to interference from naval or ground based radar bursts, that appear as heavy lines on the image. Back in July, it came to light that Russia was testing a new method of blocking or jamming the Sentinel radar, as intense interference lines were appearing on Satellite images taken over and to the south of Crimea. I believe that, even back then, Russia were getting their ducks in line and knew that they needed to find a way to interfere with the satellites passing over their potential areas of operation.

That's a FR24 glitch, it took the same flight track as all other flights just over northern Turkey, the correct track is now showing on FR24.
It's not all that rare (especially of late) and is becoming increasingly more common the last number of months.

A good resource I recommend for the general public is ADS-B:-
Whilst FR24 is my personal favourite (as a fully paid up subscription) I still rely on ADS-B for the military side of things as only a handful of military stuff shows on FR24. An example of this was watching AF1 on ADS-B yesterday which anyone in the aviation community will know is blocked from FR24 as are many military aircraft.
Anyone wanting to watch military only planes using ADS-B can do so via the military filter or by pressing the "U".
