Presumed anything that came out of his mouth the last few years was a "hit".
This is gonna be the killers in the academy 2008 all over again, there'll be just shy of half a million people at that whelans gig.
Same with that Nirvana gig down in Cork 🤣, looking forward to the gig in Vicar St be odd seeing an Act as big/popular as him in such an small venue, saw him in PUC and he was good to be fair, wouldnt be everyones cup of tea
I wonder is it first come first served for the seats or maybe random Allocation
Seats downstairs are unallocated/unused for standing gigs in Vicar St. If you want to grab one you'll have no problem, but the ones at the back will have a terrible view
According to the seating plan, upstairs wasn't being sold. If so, I'd guess they're being giving to vips and media, especially if they still have tickets to sell for the stadium gigs
Upstairs was sold. I had tickets in my cart for block E but decided to go to Whelans one instead. Seating plan shows blocks D, E and F which are balcony seats.
Gorillaz are set to return to Ireland this year with a headline show at the 3Arena in Dublin on August 17th. https://thelastmixedtape.com/2022/03/25/gorillaz-announce-dublin-show-at-the-3arena/
Definitely not missing this
Amazing. My favourite band. Their love shows are incredible.
Oh, must have looked at it completely wrong 😜
Righteo, ignore that then! Still the case that the lower level seats are unallocated for standing gigs
You must have been quick of the mark to get Whelan's, well done! Block E in Vicar St are usually hard to get too, definitely the best seats in the house
Anybody with any pre-sale codes for Fontaines D.C. in Vicar Street? Going on sale Monday.
Primus tickets secured easily enough
Anyone know if there are 2 different standing price levels for Florence and the Machine? The plan just shows standing and I bought a ticket, but the email says price level 2, indicating that there's like a pit or something?
He announced it on his Insta story yesterday. Just watched it now after reading this thread. Fair play for getting a ticket
Sheeran has a 3 day gap between 2nd Dublin gig & 1st Cork gig, also, a 5 day gap between 2nd Cork gig and 1st Limerick gig, might be a possibilities there, for further warm up gigs.
Wonder will Garth Brooks do something similar when he's over here. Going to have a few days to spare but he probably do some corny irish tourism thing and make a documentary about it knowing him
Garth's flying home on his private jet after the first weekend and flying back before the second weekend.
You just making that up or do you have info on that? Seems unlikely.
MCR have announced their uk supports, includes placebo, Frank Turner, barns Courtney etc.
We'll probably get the blizzards or wild youth or someone like that
Yeah was going to say that
We'll be screwed again and have some local garbage instead of the likes of Placebo and Frank Turner
Look at his tour schedule, he was only playing Saturdays, he's been doing the commute since the Vegas days, of course he might turn it into a family holiday, but history says he'll fly back.
Gaslight anthem reforming, if they don't play Dublin I'm gonna be mildly inconvenienced by flying to wherever they are playing.
Yea delighted they are back, the 59 sound anniversary show in Vicar St was great. Looking forward to the new album, I'd love them to do some smaller shows like academy then back for the Olympia when the new record is out.
So looks like gaslight will be playing Ireland at some stage, MCD just posted on their insta saying news coming soon
One of my best friends is a huge fan too but he isn't home from China till start of July so I hope if they play during the summer it's mid July 😂
They're manager mentioned a West's Awake style gig next year. Insha'allah for that! Would HAVE to come home for it.
We can dream of the ultimate emo day out and Panic at the disco and The used as support for MCR
I cannot explain how much this band means to me, like I literally don't know what path my life takes if I don't discover them in 2009, but all the Cool stories I have in the last 12 years can be traced back to getting a passport to go see them in London in 2010.
Playing Sunday night and the following Friday, there's no chance he's flying back across the atlantic for 3 nights or whatever. He'll be holed up in Ashford or Adare for the few nights, back to Dublin for the sound checks again Thursday
