@briany
.... like Russell Brand going on about weaponised bio labs in Ukraine.
That's Russell Brand, author of such insightful political treatises as 'My Booky Wook'.
How do you know what he is talking about? Are you tuning into his YT channel?
It’s so blatantly obvious. The Kremlin propaganda machine has been cultivating a network of “contrarian news” sources for years now. These have been propagating the likes of brexit, trumpism, anti vax and other theories, often mutually contradictory and of no immediate value to the Russians. What it has done though is develop a network of gullible idiots who will willingly parrot any old sh*te, without question, if they think it may enhance their contrarian credentials. Often these people don’t even think they are parroting the pro Russian line - “ yes the invasion is terrible, but but but nato, but but but there once was a neo nazi in Ukraine, but but but, sure how could Russia stand idly by while their neighbours chose their own path, within their own borders”.
Truly the worst kind of idiot, telling themselves they are the “independent” thinker, while blindly spreading the most obvious bullsh*t without question
Would interest me what weapons they're using. Ukrainian, or are the Americans actively supplying them with US army weapons even as volunteers?
It reminds me of the Nazi "Wochenshau" newsreels from WW2, particularly the ones from 1943 onward, when the war was clearly being lost but the narrator was cheerily announcing the latest German successes. The level of lies and propaganda here is off the scale, they're not even trying to disguise that it's mostly nonsense dressed up as 'news'.
I'd think that's highly unlikely. It's not like you can check a military-grade rifle into luggage on a Transatlantic flight.
And from the photos, they're using AKs.
It's been a terrible few weeks for the pro-Kremlin puppets in the West in fact. Imagine being shills for such a desperate, corrupt, lying and debased regime. Hopefully it's career ending for a lot of them.
"when the war was clearly being lost but the narrator was cheerily announcing the latest German successes"
Some Germans found it odd that the victories being announced were getting closer and closer to Germany. 😊
We face a bit of a paradox in the West. We have freedom of speech, or at least a greater degree of it than certain other governments around the world. We can use that freedom of speech to probe, to question and thereby hold our governments to account. The consensus is that this is good. But this openness and ability to ask questions can be used to spread FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt). As we strive for balance and perspective, we end up asking a lot of questions which lead to more questions and yet more questions. The problem when war comes is that we need answers and action, because your enemies in war are not going to afford you unlimited time to debate things. They'd prefer you in an endless state of indecision, in fact, and unable to move with purpose and direction. The Russians know that full well, too. It's been a great relief that the West has not questioned itself too much in this crisis and hit the Russians hard with sanctions, and piled the weapons into the hands of Ukraine. The Russians have been surprised by this firmness and they do not like it. We can pour over the minutiae of what was right or wrong in retrospect, as scholars have done with WW2 and every other war in history, but when a war is ongoing one thing trumps all and that is that the enemy must be defeated.
triple summit in Brussels today-
lots more aid today, Ireland sending ambulances too, how long more can Moscow press on with this adventure?
They would use AKs as they are what the Ukraine use, as well as most Middle Eastern countries they may have served a tour in and as such would be quite familiar with them.
We could send tractors
* its a meme now
Ireland seems happy enough to sabre-rattle and pontificate, but when it comes to shipping something useful, it does nothing. Hypocrisy considering that the capability is setting in a barracks somewhere and will likely go past the use-by date.
The Antonov An-124 Ruslan that stopped over at Shannon from the States, is currently decending from 30,000ft over Polish airspace. This is the heaviest cargo aircraft in the world and its quite poignant as they were all produced by Ukranians in Ukraine. Its looking like its going to land at J-town. I've had the opportunity of sitting in one once and to say it's vast is an understatement. Id love a look at that cargo manifest.
I'm starting to think we will see this war approach an endgame in the next two weeks.
I could see NATO significantly increasing assistance to Ukraine and the Russians end up losing large areas of territory. One of two things could then happen. Either Putin goes chemical or with a nuclear weapon. Or his close circle see him as weak and do him in.
If he goes with a wmd, nato will become directly involved. The Russian army will be decimated in two or three days and Putins buddies will look to de-escalate by removing him and saying it was his plan all along.
Either way I think he is unlikely to see the summer this year.
Likely Ukrainian issued or purchased locally
Big push by the Ukrainians tonight
Wonder if it's carrying Air defense systems, rather than small arms /anti tank systems
a nuke cant really bail him out as he is stalled on so many fronts he would need multiple nukes sent in, chemicals are only useful in places such as Mariupol were the fighting is concentrated, but he would probably wipe his own forces out too
He has no off ramp,
Zelenskyy is still president,
The Democratic elected government is still in place ,
The Ukrainian military is still in place and bigger and better equipped than ever ,
Mariupol is still in Ukrainian hands and the Azoz batillion are kicking Russian arse s every day for the last month,
If the Ukrainians are able to make a massive push they could get a large amount of territory back including the separatist areas,so no land bridge to Crimea and or to kalingrad ,
Russia are now isolated and an international periah ,
What goals did Putin acheive if he does suddenly pull out of Ukraine
If the food situation for the Russian army is as bad as reports suggest, the main nuking their men on the ground would want to do would be microwaving one of those Rustlers burgers.
Reports within the last couple of hours the Ukrainian forces are on a counter offense in Chornobaivka a town just outside Kherson city were Russians solders captured last week. This is huge because the ground they have taking back from Mykolaiv to this point down the M14 motorway is absolutely great news.
He wouldn't use it as a tactical weapon, more likely just lash out in frustration. We have seen him in action when he's not hearing exactly what he wants or can't get what he wants. He gets frustrated and angry.
It's not only his military that was found out in this war. He too has had the veil of a calculated masterplanner removed. He's is as inept as the army he commands.
I saw it being loaded in Kabul one time, two line's of trucks being loaded. Unbelievable sight!!
I dont think there’ll be anyone doing him in, I would more likely say a fleeing of his closest buddies for fear of being done for war crimes.
Any recent interviews/speeches by Putin? Has he gone quiet?
Lots of whistle-blower PR coming from Western media. I wonder if Putin is getting paranoid and wiping out a sizeable portion of his inner circle.
I'd not at all be surprised if there were no whistle-blowers saying a coup was imminent just so Putin would start to encourage senior staff to open windows in tall buildings.
The last thing any Russian leader needs to be seen as is weak and losing a war whilst exposing the sham of the Russian empire is the epitome of weakness. The FSB and army will be gunning for him for exposing how weak they've become. The Oligarchs will be gunning for him as their assets are stripped and they are confined to a sanctioned Russia beside flying from Monaco, to LA or Dubai. How long will they tolerate that life. Someone will eventually have enough and he'll be done in. The blame will sir square on his shoulders and they'll try to negotiate a way back into the world.
Whoa, stall up there lad. The Poles might have something to say about a Ukrainian land bridge to Kaliningrad.
Expect Putin and his lackies to turn up at the UN demanding all of their stolen equipment back
