looks like its better resolution on 12129 ?
720 * 576
other one is 544 * 576
Not sure if this is the right place, just wondering if there is still a UTV+1 broadcasting, if so what's the frequency. It used to broadcast on 10906 V 22000, but not there now.
UTV+1 is gone, but there should be an ITV+1 (Granada) on the same frequency.
Thought it was gone alright, I know ITV+1 is available on a few different frequencies, was just wondering was UTV+1 still available as I remember having it before and it's no longer there, was handy for the Ulster specific programs
I've seen ads on W mentioning some tuning change required on the 28th, unsure if this will mean anything needed to be done if you have it tuned in now to continue viewing it.
Not a new channel but a 'heads up'. Sky are pulling Pick+1 (and Syfy+1 not FTA) at the end of the month.
Best thing about a Freesat box was never having to watch BBCNI or UTV again
were you forced to watch them before the freesat box?
Speak for yourself.
I prefer watching the NI channels, what happens in Belfast or Derry is more interesting and relevant than what happens in London or Manchester (for the local news I mean)
In the sense that alternative regions weren't available on UPC (as it then was) or Sky, yes.
Of course nobody is forced to watch anything. But it's great not to have to wait until the odious Nolan or whatever other "legendary local TV presenter" is on is over before the programme you're waiting for, and which has already started in every other region, is on. Then there's the programmes they don't even show in NI on the same day, and sometimes not even at all. Choice is good. You disagree with my choice, fine, no skin off either of our noses. I wouldn't watch BBC news anyway so it doesn't matter which region is on in that regard.
Having different regions available makes it easier to avoid transponder clashes when recording, too...
I didn't mention "everyone" or even "most people" anywhere in that post so clearly I was speaking for myself.
W is joining Freeview on that date, hence why a terrestrial scan will be needed for those in the UK watching via an aerial
It's due to launch on Freesat on the same day
Also worth noting on Sky, W is moving to 132 and Alibi to moving to 109 next Monday too
Content is woeful.
W stand for Waste, Waste of Space
W is now on Official Freesat channel menu, it's on channel 156.
Talk TV is due to launch on the 25th of April!
TalkRADIO TV is coming in as HD, called 52590, Now and next working on the EPG
11427/V/29500
I wonder will it appear on the Irish Sky EPG?
Sky has pulled the plug on Pick + 1
Would be great if TalkSPORT radio became a TV channel as well on satellite
and what's the point in watching a bunch of radio presenters rabbiting on in a studio?? sorry but am i missing something here?
QVC and QVC Style launched HD versions on Freesat & Sky today. SD versions removed from both EPGs, but there are stil broadcasting off the EPG on 11.494 H 22.0 5/6
It seems FreeSat hit a glitch. QVC had shutdown the SD ones but FreeSat users couldn't/didn't get the new HD versions. QVC therefore restored the SD ones, presumably only temporarily.
That issue was only for the Foxsat-HDR Freesat box afaik. All other boxes and TVs were unaffected
@mackersdublin You wouldn't think QVC would have a big audience these days but obviously enough people screamed 😀
i find myself watching it esp for Tech & Gardening items
TalkTV HD launches to EPG in the UK only (526)
Amazing that we got GB News but not this channel!
Rights issues, apparently, which may be resolved. Probably some Talksport bits.
GBN has far less in the way of actual content to have rights issues on.
And yet if you observe the ticker headline banner, it will regularly show a quote prefaced by the word Taoiseach or Tánaiste, as if any regular British viewer would have a clue what those words meant!
