No, the email said that it was specifically to refund excess equity on the car as if it was worth more than I was using as a downpayment. I got through to Craig on the chat who told me that the email was sent out in error.
Yes, that would make more sense!
How do I contact them via chat?
I'm also waiting on them to contact me about arranging finance. Car due this weekend.
I bought in 2020, having ordered in 2016, for all ye people complaining about turnaround :D
Yes I got the rate, cannot remember what it was now.
Prior to delivery, I got a message asking me to settle up the invoice I was not financing.
On collection day I filled out the application for the financing (which i thought was weird as I drive away in the car)
I got an email about a week later from AIB saying they had received the documentation I filled out on collection day. They asked me for a copy of my payslip and that was that.
Up until 7 days (but less than 2,000km) after delivery, you can hand it back for a full refund minus the €100 deposit.
I've found emailing them the most effective. DeliveryIE@tesla.com.
I just go to https://www.tesla.com/en_ie/model3/design#overview and look for the chat bubble on the bottom left. It only appears if a chat agent is available though, to you may have to refresh the page for it to pop up. If it's not there for me, I wait maybe 2-3 mins before refreshing.
I see Tesla have upped the cost of their SH sales as well as new ones. Was nearly at the point of a speculative deposit last week given the likely price hike due to production and sourcing difficulties, but hesitated as I couldn't get myself to pay over 50k for any car (don't want white). Snoozed and lost! Will try again next year or go SH.
Ideal time to buy one was mid 2021 with the slightly smaller LFP battery but faster acceleration prior to the previous price hike due to VRT changes. Demand will be through the roof now with fuel prices, and now hyperinflation and recession around the corner thanks to the Orcs. Congrats to all who timed their deposits better!
You have to update your sig, then! Congrats on the quick sale. I noticed the Mustang Mach-E has gone up to 61k EUR. That was another thing that struck me with the RWD being only 2k less than the Mustang at 53k EUR a few months back. Prices have gone mad now for the average punter, and buying a new premium / exec electric car at these updated prices is just feeding the frenzy in a time of global shortages.
If you ordered mid 21 mid 2020 you'd miss the heat pump.....
Congrats on the sale. Def great changeover prices if selling used and buying new at the moment.
Final payment cleared this moring.....Saturday 16th collection date
Suddenly got my VIN & then shortly after registration
I live on the border of Tipp & Waterford...and typical they got the "wrong" 🤣 reg....waterford instead of Tipp
Anyone know if I have any chance to change this?
Have asked Tesla, but no answer yet!
That'll be a no chance, lol
Maybe the trade in price has increased?
I have a trade in on an order (pre price bump) that I was happy with. An increase in trade in value would be fantastic.
This happen to anyone yet? Think my trade in valuation is fixed for a while before it will be refreshed.
Typically trade in value will have specified period (60 days?) for trade in price to hold. Beyond that you they will refresh by going though original process again and putting it out to their selected trade partners (can go up or down, like any market, which is fair). They don’t get into negotiations …take it or leave it.
Unless your offer has expired I very much doubt if they will be prepared to revisit.
It’s Tesla that have increased their prices most likely associated with high demand and also likely impact if increases in costs given lithium prices will add a reputed USD 1,000 to each battery.
it would not hold though that prices in second hand market would be correlated.
What is the latest time to cancel an order (minus the €100 booking fee)?
If you don’t accept the delivery when they contact you, I assume that’s sufficient?
When you find one can you let us know the details?
yeah, it's changed a lot so in 2 years...
Bit harsh to be honest but you post shows per-reviewing still working and is not facebook. I was about to call the change in terms but didn't have all the facts. Thank you for clarifying it.
Mine was registered as soon as my downpayment went through.
Like an absolute muppet not wearing my glasses: Changed my order from White with the 19" wheels due in November to include the white interior and got stung because I did it the day after the price hike. Now i'm paying 3.3k extra for absolutely nothing but my own stupidity and poor eyesight. Not even sure the car is worth that much. Considering the Ioniq5 now as its nearly in a different price bracket at this stage. Someone change my mind.
yeah, call them up and explain it was done in error, and any chance they can revert ups back to the original order with original price.
Is it not more than 3.3K extra now? White with white interior and 19" wheels looks about €61.1K. (RWD?)
Yeah i reverted to my original order(without white interior) when i realized my mistake. Which is now 54.8 instead of 51.5. Ringing them now too see but I suspect they'll just tell me tough luck. Anyway.
Worth a try anyway..
Worth a try (you might get someone sound try a rep and not CS) but I'd say they'll tow the new order line. I got that when I tried so I went the ioniq route and no regrets.
Yup just got told there's no rolling back the order. Shame. I suppose they wont miss the business as they're selling every unit they make.
Don't get me started 🤑 tough luck man.
But good alternatives out there EV6 is good option too if looking for something sleek. But would have to up the spec to be comparable.
EV6 earth and ioniq 5 executive not really comparable.
EV 6 GT line and Ioniq 5 premium plus on a similar level.
