I wouldn’t expect any faster speeds at 80% SOC in fairness.

On the sales side.
DUB@tesla.com
on the service side.
I was impressed with the speed, more than 40kW at 90%
Maybe I misread, I thought you said 47kw at 80% SOC and it shot straight down to 15kw.
Held 40kW up to 98% then shot down.

Yep Tomasz is a good guy and was excellent in any dealings I had on my test drive and when asking for the tow hitch later - email him he's a good asset for Sandyford.
Went to put a rear vinyl plate on today, didn’t realise the backing plate was moulded to the tailgate:
Ended up sticking the plate over the backing plate, much neater without the frame:
i remember hearing that tesla used to do unlimited supercharging for the first owners of new teslas, is this now gone? i guess they dont need any additional incentives with current demand...
https://www.findmyelectric.com/blog/does-free-supercharging-transfer-when-you-sell-your-tesla/
thanks, but that seems to deal with transferring unlimited supercharging when buying used. im wondering if i buy a new model 3 does it come with free supercharging for me as first owner?
I put it my order last week before the price increase and I'm still not 100% sure about the colour of the car, I picked blue with white interior. If I decide to change the colour to let's say red does that only affect my order with the colour price or will that affect the new car price as well?
Lads post some pictures of your Teslas I've a really hard time deciding what colour I want.
Even without the price increase red with white interior looses the grant so the red paint costs you 7k.
Can’t beat blue!
Is the grant applied to the base price of the car without the extras? What's the cut off point 50k? When I ordered my Tesla base price was 49,990 and with the few extras it was well over 50k and I think I got the -5,000 SEAI or am I wrong.
NO!
Respectfully suggest you back through previous threads for pics of colours or google it. Not sure everyone one else will appreciate a flood of pics on the channel to help you be more decisive!
Try this link for all things related to Model 3 ..with many pics posted
Qualifying Criteria"A maximum grant of €5,000 is available for qualifying new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) when purchased privately. Approved EVs with a List Price of less than €14,000 will not receive a grant. As of 1st July 2021 there is a cap of €60,000 on the full price of all vehicles. The full price of the vehicle to the customer includes all optional extras, paint and delivery but excludes any incentives such as grants or rebates."
In summary the 60K threshold includes all extras but also the price of 49,990 is not or never was the cash price for Model 3 as it did not include VRT. a marketing ploy by Tesla to make it look cheaper until you go further when all costs are itemised
Gone since 2017.
It’s one of the benefits of my 2016 Model S Performance. Free unlimited Super Charging and free unlimited premium connectivity.
It’s also one of the hesitations on whether to sell it or not as once it’s gone, it’s gone!
If I sell privately the new owner will continue to get both for free. If I trade in to Tesla, then Tesla will remove the perks before releasing it back into the wild.
The €49,990 figure was the on the road price of the base RWD up until
last week.
The price was actually slightly less. I paid €49746. Today would cost €52972, an increase of €3226. If you add a white interior and 19" wheels brings it to €61091.
MODEL 3 RWD Pricing
With recent price increase for Model 3 things have become very sensitive with regard to eligibility for the SEAI grant of 5,000. A little summary which some may find interesting/helpful is set out below.
All Model 3 RWD with the exception of Red can qualify for the 5,000 grant
Addition of any optional extras (Sport Wheels or extended Autopilot) will make the selected choice grant ineligible with the exception of White. With the White model you can still upgrade to sport wheels and still qualify for the 5,000 grant
I believe this will make it crazy for anyone who is buying a Model 3 RWD to select the enhanced Autopilot option as not only will you pay the sizeable cost you will lose out on the 5,000 SEAI grant...a no brainer
Yeah I’m agreeing with you here. Once you add those items, the price brings it outside the criteria for the €5k grant. The other poster said it didn’t include VRT but it did. That was the OTR price.
The intelligent thing to do is order the car without EAP.
Then once you receive it, order it through the App. You pay the price as advertised without the additional VRT.
I don't think we are going to see many red basic spec cars any more. A pity.
Surely anyone interested in buying enhanced autopilot is better buying it later?
Yes.......
Even more 8k? because with the new pricing blue with white interior is over 60k so no grant. Crazy enough. I think there is an opportunity for the after market here.
What kind of wifi speeds can people get in their M3s? I’ve messed around with the mesh system at home now and the absolute maximum I can get is 18Mbps (my phone in the car can get 90Mbps). The RHS mirror is as close as possible to the router. Is there an upper limit on the download speeds? It’s not vital but it’s annoying me a little.
Got my reg, but can't seem to log into motortax.ie or find the car on any insurance sites yet. Guess I have to wait til next week? Anyone who got their reg this week able to log into motortax website?
when did you get the reg?
sometimes it can take 48 hours for it to appear on the system, also add in the fact we have 2 bank holidays going into a weekend.
