A picture is worth a thousand words
"a source told the Daily Mail". Now I bloody hope it's true and it could well be, but it's hardly concrete and more likely supposition. Not unlike the invasion costing Russia 20 billion per day idea that still gets trotted out on twitter and news media.
Cyril wanting media attention at home and abroad jumps up and down waving his arms taking the contrary position screaming "Please, please look at me!!". And that muppet has about as much chance of being accepted as a mediator at a dominos game in his local pub, never mind something so important as this war.
He cannot hear you. His ears are packed with threadban.
They can't even take Kharkiv or Sumy, 30 odd kilometres away from their own border. How they expect to take Sarajevo 1500km away, only by Air and over NATO airspace that they'd get shot down over😂
Oh, I think that you will find that when it comes to war crimes in the Balkan's, the Serbs were not the only offenders, and the Croats and Muslims were not whiter than white innocent either. Thats what wars do, produce the worst of the worst.
There "needs" to be a rebuild ukraine tax on worldwide payments for Russian exports going forward , which would do several things - deprive the Russian government/military of excessive revenues ,
while stabilizing world market prices ( fuel , fertilizer and grain )
and most importantly fund a rebuilding of Ukraine - ( which could kick start their economy/ development, helping to bring them closer to eu membership- )
and it's largely the "wests" banking and payments system to police ..might even get china on board if they think it's good for their world exports and image ..
All the democracy needs to know is that there is intelligence services working in Ireland.
You do understand what intelligence is about yes? Why would they inform the general public as to their internal workings?
But the Serbs were the ones that started the war, so yes the majority of war crimes were perpetrated by the Serbs. Others did commit crimes, absolutely, but most war crimes were Serbian offenders.
They’ll never beat spirit like this, never…
Its a horribly alien situation to be cheering anyone's death - THAT SAID
Nice Work Soldiers - Slava Ukraini - more to follow!
It's very noticeable that the Russian army has hardly moved at all in the last few days, they've made virtually zero progress in Ukraine.
Beyond belief.
If you give any credence coming to anything coming from Russia's dictatorship, you are beyond help at this point.
You can watch it on All4….channel 4 picked it up a couple of weeks ago. I started watching it and I have to say that it is quite amusing
it’s hard to get your head around the transition from bumbling sitcom character to wartime president!
The Pakistani establishment are snakes.
They didn't plan their logistics? Oh it seems they did. They assembled a huge invasion force in Belarus under the guise of "exercises" using their(and Belarus') rail network to get their ducks in a row there. That was a barrier when they entered Ukraine, so went to huge miles long columns of trucks on Ukraine's roads. Columns that were remarkably out in the open and largely unharried, which strongly suggests the Russians were confident that the threat towards them was minimal.
Where they clearly screwed up - and a rookie mistake - was some of their frontline forces seemed to run out of fuel in places, because of supply issues, or they actually advanced a little too quickly for logistics to keep up. That doesn't seem to be in play anymore, now they've got those same trucks assembled near their base of operations around Kyiv in particular and seemingly enough out of range of Ukrainian forces.
They clearly screwed up thinking/believing the BS that many more Ukrainians would welcome them like saviours from the 'nazis'.
What is surprising is that I expected way more concentrated artillery and rocket barrages aimed at Kyiv at this stage. Especially now with the world accusing them of war crimes and ostracising them and much of the civilian population moved or moving out, they've nothing to lose on that front. Another surprise has been the remarkable (mostly) absence of their air power. Maybe they're waiting until they fully encircle Kyiv?
And where is the Ukrianian artillery? One video of them hitting a group of trucks and another group of infantry with mortars seems to be it so far. Where are the Ukrainian tanks for that matter? Most of what we've been seeing from Ukraine has been either infantry attacks with anti tank missiles, drone hits and one light tank/personnel carrier taking out two similar. Clearly it's working as the invaders have been bogged down in a few places.
I suppose we're missing a lot of what's actually going down on the ground. The modern instant media age is to blame there. The if it's not on video it doesn't exist kinda thing.
They cared a lot in 1990, before they got used to Western standards of living.
Or they're getting their ducks in a row with logistics and artllery and air power. When they attacked Berlin in 1945 they stopped too, got themselves together and then went in full force.
I was talking about operational capabilities and strengths, not nuts and bolts specifics of ongoing activities.
What will be the future of Belarus after the Ukraine war with a likely independent, european Ukraine led by the charimatic Zelensky? Surely the pressure on Lukashenko will be intolerable, Russia will be weakened, they will hardly want another war to put down a revolution to topple Lukashenko in Belarus. The people of Belarus will not waste any time in getting rid of the Belarus regime before Putin can put nuclear weapons there. It is very likely that Belarus will also now fall outside Russia's orbit now
The totalitarian veils have come right off now, and it sounds like he's speaking about Russians in an alarmingly ethnic way as well.
It sends a chill down the spine
You could definitely argue that they are regrouping or stalling for time, but a counter argument would be that the offensive has genuinely gone pear shaped and has run into major difficulties.
Well said, and from the heart.
Anyone think we are still heading for WW3?
Vlad the Impaler was on to something when he felt that sanctions would not last.
It's a lifeline and he knows it.
There is no going back for the West and Russia so long as Putin is in charge over there. Cards are fully on the table, now. People following international politics would have been keenly aware for years that Russia had no great love for Western powers, and vice versa, but the hostility was always kept cool and cordial. With the frank words spoken by Putin and Biden this week, I can't see Putin sitting down with Western leaders ever again.
