I didn't want to link to the actual MW tweet but apart from being appalled by his lack of humanity in posting that, what is going on with Wallace? I mean, I understand being wary of the motives of NATO and the US (and I don't know enough whether Zelenskyy could done things differently to avoid Putin's aggression? ) but how can you harp on about NATO when the aggressor is Russia who is destroying a peaceful country? Is he just thick?
I wouldn’t trust anything the Kremlin says and I am sure Ukraine feel the same. Could be merely delaying tactics while his army regroup.

The whole negotiation thing seems very puzzling. An international relations expert was saying on Six One that she can't imagine any scenario where Ukraine agrees to give up Crimea and the Donbass region in order to end the war - they have been seized illegally by a rogue and pariah state. But she also can't see Putin merely settling for Ukraine being a 'neutral' state, given his earlier angry and numerous demands.
Putin is the new Mao or Lenin for a lot of the left, leading a fight back against the West, NATO, the Nazis in charge of the west and its society, backed by an increasing list of left wing revolution movements from Cuba to Venezuela and across.
