Yeah basically Kerry are a div 1 side playing in hurling province. I believe outside of most of the urban areas in Cork there is little interest in the big ball game. I did a chart on Kerry’s dominance in Munster before. It puts Dublin’s recent dominance of Leinster well in the shade.

having to play div 2 -3 and 4 sides is laughable. Not fit for purpose and the odd year there might be a struggling div 1 side in either province in a good year!
Au contraire! There have been 2 All Munster All-Ireland finals. Clare, Limerick and Tipperary have all made the All-Ireland quarter-finals in the qualifier era. Tipperary have won the Munster championship and have made the All-Ireland semi-finals. Limerick were close in a few Munster finals.
Kerry have been winning in the backyard of their Munster rivals. Rivals who have gone on to show their pedigree in the qualifiers.
Wow. That has to be one of the most childish comments I have seen here. There's no point deflecting away from the Dublin funding issue by trying to bring Kerry into the same mix. Kerry have always been top of the pile in Munster - but it is through having a strong GAA culture making it extremely competitive to make the senior intercounty team and therefore raising the standard. In my lifetime, I'll never see a bad Kerry team. They may not always dominate. But they will be there or there abouts.
The Dublin set-up is a completely different ball game. Dublin were struggling for nearly a decade and won zero All-Irelands. They were given a treasure load of cash, and hey presto - they win 6 in a row. It's not rocket science. Dublin used the money well. But the key point is that they were given the money in the first place to be able to used it wisely. The majority of counties do not get that opportunity.
If you go back over this thread, you'll see some of the Dublin "fans" trying to do the same comparison between Meath and Dublin. I think a year or 2 ago, Meath got a bit of money. And the DUblin crowd jumped straight on to it to deflect away again - "Hey, look at Meath. They got some money. They should be split in 2". Deflection. Deflection. Deflection.

As regards Dublin playing away argument from yourself and another poster.
In the recent past Dublin hurling or football have played in Carlow, Portlaoise, Kilkenny, Westport, Cork, Tralee, Killarney. Longford, Monaghan, Ballbofey, Salthill, Omagh etc and the footballers have won many leagues/Championships
The argument really falls flat when you look at Dublin footballs record in the league/ Super 8’s.Plus any time recently Dublin football played away in the championship they won.
I was at many of these games I can list them if you wish. But I sense you would merely find another half assed way to dismiss the point.
Also I would argue when the Dublin hurlers have been forced to play ‘home’ games in CP it has been to their detriment. Favouring the team who likes the wide pitch. Thankfully this has changed recently and Dublin hurl in Parnell. Their home. Where it suits them. Tight pitch- caldron atmosphere.
So in fact Dublin football can play ‘away’ you probably have counted the number of football leagues Dublin won.And are also well up on Dublin’s record in the ‘Super 8’s’ and championship away games in recent years. As you seem to take a very keen interest in Dublin GAA?
I believe the last away game the footballers played in the championship was last year against Wexford. In Wexford park. I bet you remember the result?
I always find it suspicious that the poster in question parrots spiel (from a certain Kildare born ‘journalist’ who lives abroad) verbatim. And the poster seems to have the same level of zeal in concocting agreements to shoot down Dublin GAA while simultaneously contradicting themselves after a while. Take club football. It is not Dublin teams that have been ‘dominant’. Dublin teams have lost to Corofin, Rathnew, St Brigid (Rossies) and even Mullinaughta. Plus Ballyboden should really have been beaten by Portlaoise one year. It was the biggest shank of a tap over free I ever saw.
This topic is studiously avoided by posters such as enquiring. Or simply dismissed with another twist and turn. Bringing up another topic. If something does not fit the narrative it is ignored or dismissed with a ‘what about xyz?’ and changes topic. I know how the game works. There isn't a hatred of Dublin GAA. Dublin GAA had the wisdom to be aware that Dublin has evolved into a province. The valid point is being made that their funding of provincial status should bring provincial responsibilities.

It seems like a very narrow remit you have only focusing on one county. With little or no thought of logistics and practical implications.
In respect of the Dubs the Dubs can take up the baton on how the split should appropriately be applied. The 3 counties of Dublin designated a section of the capital city would seem fair. Can the city be carved up in 3 using the long established postcodes?

Leinster counties could group together and demand venue equity. When Dublin have contested a home provincial final, their Leinster quarter-final in the next year should be in the backyard of their opponent.

You have to admit that its a shocking embarrassment that Dublin are sitting at the bottom of the league after all the riches that were bestowed. How could a county take so much cash, use it to bring temporary success, and then fall apart so dramatically. It kind of debunks the theory that the cash was given, yes, but that it was put to good use.

I fully welcome a discussion on Kerry winning provincial titles in their opponents backyard. Opponents who show their pedigree by qualifying for All-Ireland quarter-finals, All-Ireland semi-finals and All-Ireland finals. Munster has produced 2 all Munster All-Ireland finals. Ulster has produced 1 all Ulster All-Ireland final. Connaught and Leinster have not achieved that.
