It might be a good time for Georgia to reclaim territory,
The information shared was still relevant. His background of which I was unaware changes nothing about the recent video, despite all the chimpanzees throwing their poo at it this morning.
The Crimea is 65 to 70% Russian. The only reason there's a sizeable amount of Ukrainians there is because it was used as an olive branch to the UkSSR in the 50's by Khrushchev (as you say). Other minorities wouldn't make up enough numbers to edge a result their way.
As to EU membership, I don't think that Putin and his entourage would be as Blaise about it as you might think. But yes, due to the Ukraine being a quagmire of corruption and crime, their acceptance might be a ways off. Unless the EU turn a blind eye to their own acceptance criteria and fast track them, which will open its own Pandora's box.
You may be correct about the Industrial importance of the Donabas.
However their is always going to be issues and tensions as long as this region stays within Ukraine.
There is always going to be a very heavy pro Russian population their ready to stir the pot. I think for the sake of a future independent Ukraine that has asperations of joining the EU it may need to consider letting these regions become the independent statelets that Putin wants if it is part of the deal.
One is say 30 another is saying at least 15, photos suggest 4/5
I get it. You want the appearance of a free and democratic country like France. Be careful what you wish for. France is a country sliding towards some sort of civil war itself. Poland has done itself a massive favour by not joining in with Merkel's open invitation to the Middle East to come and settle in Europe. Poland has faced a lot of undue criticism partly because of this and the fact it doesn't go along with the big two all the time. Much of the criticism is unwarranted. I don't know enough about the Polish judicial system, constitution or democratic credentials to comment, so I'll take your word for it that things are a bit dodgy there. 👍️
A fantastist and a windbag. I mean any Russian, of all people, who says Adolf Hitler was a “very brave man" is a dribbling moron. If the Ukraine war is just the beginning, then they've shown how amateur hour they really are. Like a bloke with a flop on boasting to a woman that he'll ride her sideways. Just you wait. 😁
They are not a bit dodgy. It is a massive corruption, nepotism, millions poured to churches and outside budget to private pockets. Public TV propaganda. Courts damaged. Dodgy deals made on pandemic etc. And Pegasus used to spy on Polish citizens...
People "committing suicides" by hanging themselves sleeping in prison.
And women killed by dead babies in their bodies because they couldn't abort them.
And only two days ago they rejected European Human Rights card as not in agreement with our constitution!
A bit! Give me a break...
"Sanctions should be answered with nuclear strikes"
I know WW3 would be terrible but my god it d get nearly worth it to see the likes of him and Putin get melted. Scum
Had the same thought a week or so back. Lots of bullied regions could be smelling blood.
I think that's at the back of Poland's stance too. Remember Ukraine were effectively deserted and expected to fall in 2-3 days. They've given a loud wake up call to many.
It’s pretty simple; PiS might be against Russia strategically but they are pro Russia in terms of their how they wish to dispense and concentrate power over their people.
if recent events haven’t convinced you that the biggest threat to the world aren’t African or Middle East immigrants, that it’s expansionist nationalist authoritarian regimes,,,then I don’t know what will.
Maybe I should stop reading Jack Posobiec tweets about how great Poland is doing 👍️
The 30 was the fake news version a few days ago. This one has been confirmed by satellite imagery.
Of course, but what Russia will try to do is get rid of as many sanctions as possible in any potential peace deal. Again, it's a very hard pill to swallow, but saving/preserving Ukraine is a higher priority than punishing Putin.
IF sanctions were to be lifted as part of a peace deal, then we could always slap them back on for the tiniest reason in the future.
😂
Interestingly, I think the war damages the Polish far right. Much closer European cooperation coming down the tracks, a stronger and closer EU, Putin (a person admired by far right types everywhere) identified as evil and a menace to the world. This will surely take the wind out of their sails.
Have they enough diesel to get there tho is the question. 😂😂

Ukraine war news live: Russian forces shoot people lining up for bread - as Zelenskyy addresses US Congress

Can someone explain the significance of this?
Incredible. Ukrainian counter-attacks are starting to get successes. I don't want to go into fantasy land here or get over-optimistic, especially considering how potent Russia is, but there are the tiniest glimmers that Ukraine could start pushing the Russian military back in certain areas.
I'm guessing the fact they didn't have enough in there initial plan to take Ukraine they are scraping the rest of there forces to compensate
The self-declared republics in the Donbas only take up a fraction of that region's total area. Although the Russians have presumably expanded their area of control down there, the Ukrainians would have every right to say in negotiations that Russia have no right to anything beyond the ceasefire line, if the Russians have a claim on anything at all.
That's great, I am just thinking it might be good to put a kids trampoline on instead, it might bounce the javelin missile away.
Does that mean neutral as in Russian puppet president?
It hasn't though I posted the photos yesterday ,most of the helicopters are undamaged only a few were destroyed no more than 5 that we can see
That original stuff looks to be gone but it might be part of a basis for Russia to simply pack up and go home. It's Ukraine not seeking to join NATO and not allowing foreign troops to be stationed in the country. At the rate Russia are losing senior officers, conscripts and equipment they are not going to be able to take much more territory and no further Ukrainian cities.
The no more than 5 damaged was from the last week claim of 30. The recent attack knocked out most of them .
