I think there are two negotiations going on with Russia.
1. Where Russia has a knife to the throat of Ukraine. Ukraine will give concessions to get Russia out of their country, and put a stop to the killing of their people.
2. Russia asking, erm, we've a deal done with Ukraine, why are there still sanctions ? That's when Russia/Putin finally realise their mistake.
It's not the Russian bear that's been woken, but the slumbering West realising its mistake in relying on Russia and CHINA!

Lavrov seems to have done a 180 on his belligerent thuggish talk a couple of weeks ago when they thought they'd steamroll Ukraine. Now it's conciliatory statements about "business like" discussions with Ukraine. Mate, you tried to take their whole country and got your arse kicked.

They are. And it became clear early on they were struggling. Around day 3 or 4 so I can imagine at this stage, they are absolutely decimated morale wise.
Maybe there is the odd motivated battalion but overall , very poor state they are in.

The Polish people have answered the call. Like their Govt, they are their for Ukraine and in Kyiv, it is Warsaw and the Polish people who get the greatest thanks.

Steady on mate. They've taken in 1.5m refugees. Just because they don't toe the EU (German and French) line all the time, doesn't mean the nation is some hellhole.
