Again, don't really see what it would achieve. It's not like people would go, "I saw the protesters getting beaten up in Russia, but one newswoman gets a slap on the wrist for same, so it's all fine, now." Wouldn't fool anyone in the West who's halfway engaged with the situation.
Putin has long painted himself as the kind of man who likes to 'leave it in'. Pulling out of Ukraine on the basis of public outcry would also require him having to admit that he lied to his people about the scale of the operation and that Russia isn't so mighty as he made out. Given Putin's lust for power, I cannot see him doing anything that would undermine his image or that would even threaten to.

Sounds daft, but the stuff I've heard down the years that some Russians believe... well that would actually be logical. Examples would be: Chernobyl was a CIA plot to bring down the USSR/the LGBT movement is another Western plot to destroy the family and it's now aimed at Russia/Feminism, ditto/putin is a strong family man that loves Russia. Yep. And all that was years before this war and invasion and before the blood was up.
I saw similar but worse footage yesterday from Azerbajan drone attacks on Armenian soldiers, mostly hiding in WWI type trenches, no where to run & some of the poor sods flying through the air in pieces. Those Bayraktar drones are about as fast as WW1 planes, & would I assume could be taken out by modern ground anti aircraft systems easily enough, IF they are spotted. Supposedly they can loiter for 20 plus hours & fly at just above tree height. I guess they might even be too slow for some anti aircraft systems to lock onto.
Sometimes slow flying weapons are effective in striking at the enemy, RN Swordfish biplane torpedo bombers disabled the Bismark Battleship, who's air defence guns were expecting much faster attacking planes.

Simple old fashioned kit can sometimes be very effective in war. Or a quick bespoke upgrade, like fitting 60 year old rocket propelled grenades with 3D printed wing fins to Kamikaze drones being supposedly used by the Ukrainian forces.
I'm scratching my head at the idea that the regime staged a protest against itself and its conduct of the war on national television. How would that one actually work? I've seen these conspiracy theories all over social media today, but it seems a bit bonkers.

This story about the Russian anti-war lady seems too convenient a distraction from the reality that innocent Ukrainian citizens are being murdered and terrorised. It's all a bit cagey really.

I'd say that if they want to desert, and there's opposition from above, then the vehicles seem to develop serious mechanical faults, which immobilizes them, but when its a unanimous decision, they down tools and hit for the hills, leaving everything intact.

If there were that many reporters covering it then surely there should be some footage available from their state t.v. about it, somewhere.
She needs to leave the country ASAP, because while the publicly visible reponse appears light, I have no doubt something more serious is planned for when she's no longer such a hot topic and the world's media are watching intently. Just look at the endless ratcheting up of revenge and illtreatment of Nevalny. This isn't the end of it for her unless she can escape.
