24 million litres
How long would that amount last
We use about a billion litres of petrol and 1.1bn of green Diesel each year. No idea for regular diesel.
It would be about 10 days of one of them
3 days apparently.
Give ot take so ,3 days supply so we would need at least 120 of them shiploads every year .Alot of the wealth in this country is built on the back of cheap energy supply ,What will happen if this all this cheap energy source is extungished like have any riches in this country to fall back on ,
Like our successfull dairy industry is bases on massive imports of fert, feed and fuel .
If its paid for take it would be what I think should happen
What are you proving not taking it?
How long will they wait there before they steam somewhere else or are they the ones holding off.
I think 25% of our oil is or was coming from Russia. EU hasn’t yet sanctioned energy from them yet, could be 2027 before that happens.
As dawg says 3 days worth on the ship, but I wonder are people cutting back their use yet? I know my wife hasn’t yet anyway.
Had two dept of aggravation ppl in the yard last week and they still drive around in separate cars. I’d love to know what mileage expenses they get,
She docked in Dublin last night
Iran making friendly signals, they've released Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and she has got her British passport back. Oil price has already started to fall as Iran holds the 4th largest Oil reserves may be about to do a deal to re-enter the market.
Price of the barrel of oil is down to $96 today from the highs of $130 the past few weeks, a 25% drop in a little over a week. It’ll be interesting to see how quick that’s reflected at the pumps.
Got 500L of green yesterday €1.47. I wonder what price our oil companies bought that boat load for last month? Well at least I can go plough a field now to help feed the nation.
I guess you must have it ordered with over a week as I see Maxol were at €1.39 since the 11th.
I'd be thinking green diesel will drop quickly as there is a lot of demand this time of year, plus contractors were holding off buying and only taking as little as possible
Ordered 11 days ago, no price quoted when I ordered. At least the price is heading in the right direction now. They rang me last week to see if I could hold off delivery for a week and I said I could.
Just after being talking to a man that ordered a full at €1.10 plus vat today so €1.25 all in. Good to see it dropping anyway.
Where?
I think you are mixing me up with Easten, but it's ok I won't take offence 😀. If anyone is able to predict the future price of any commodity right now it's just a lucky guess.
If we make friends with Iran the price will fall below 50 a barrel is my guess.
Just have to let them play with the nukes….
In fairness I quoted what bloomberg Oil analysts were saying, and that was by the year end if the Oils supply stays disrupted. They also predicted $40/barrel Oil again too if high prices stay for a long term.
Either way it doesn't effect me this year as I'm still sitting happy on half a tank of green and another IBC full that was bought sub $0.50 /litre.
And where did you say you live?
In the middle east
Kildare?
€1.40 for 500 litres ordered today. Midlands.
You not see the amount of single chop harvesters up on Done Deal the last few days 😬
White Diesel hitting €2.20 now at the pumps, idk what green is but the price is set to follow. Looks like we are at the start of even more price rises even though the Barrel of oil is at $110 it's the supply into europe which is under pressure. If this War escalates further it could see the price double again. €5/litre!!! if I said that a year ago I'd be laughed out the gate. Now it just raises eyebrows.
ffs €5, the tractor and Car will be parked for a while so. Might invest in a Donkey and cart
Local station here at pump,
2.25 for white.
1.70 for green
Got a fill into the yard last Friday at €1.51/litre. Will have to order more next week.
Tis fucked lads. Something has to give somewhere.
Few lads will go to the wall this year I'd say. If anyone was on the verge of quitting contracting, this could be the push they need
I paid 1.53 a litre on Monday
Robbing fooker here had it 1.90 on Wed,and 1.54 about 5 miles up the Rd
